CHAPTER SIXTEEN They set out on the two motorcycles to drive to Sedona, with Kevin in the sidecar of Chloe’s bike and Bobby in Luna’s. Sitting like that, Kevin could feel every jolt of Highway 10 as they headed east along it, working their way past the abandoned cars and the trucks that had been left in the middle of the street, the occasional wrecks and the pieces of rubble that had spilled out onto the road. “How is LA traffic still a thing when there are no people here?” Chloe demanded. “Maybe it’s just built into the city,” Kevin suggested, which made Chloe smile.
