“Emily, I’m going to back up.  I need you to slowly walk towards the house and go inside.”  Vincent said through gritted teeth as he fought to control his wolf. He backed up slightly. Emily slid down from her perch on the porch railing, her body unintentionally brushing against his, making him tense up as he fought with himself.  His early fantasy of chasing her floated through his head as her body pressed softly against his as she slipped past him. “Slower,” he growled, she looked up at him with wide eyes. “Vincent, I’m your mate.”  She whispered, not understanding why he seemed so angry with her.    “I know,” he breathed out and Emily couldn’t help the way her head fell.
