I walked back to the door, took a deep breath, and made my way back downstairs. Colin and Dean were now in separate rooms, and I went and wrapped Dean in a hug. He returned it quickly. “I'm sorry,” I said. He kissed the top of my head and tightened his grip a little. “I know, Red. It’s okay, I just worry about you, and I feel useless now. It is my job to protect you in more ways than one, and Colin isn't letting me do my job. It's pissing me off,” he replied. “Don't ever think you are useless. That is just not true,” I said. He let out a little chuckle and then released me from his hold. “I guess I should go apologize to Colin,” Dean said, and I shook my head in agreement.
