burgundy dress

I was standing in front of my closet, drying my hair with a towel. I had just jumped out of the shower, after Addie had almost barged inside the bathroom, to drag me outside herself. Demanding we needed to get ready as soon as possible. I had just sighed deeply, still not feeling the need to go to this party, or to even be a part of the evening to begin with. I was looking at my clothes that were hanging inside of my small closet, still not entirely sure what a she-wolf would wear to a ‘normal’ party. Not that I had brought any of my gowns from my days inside the palace, but still. Normal clothes still felt weird to me. New and exciting, but still weird. “What are you going to wear?” I yelled towards Addie’s room, hoping that her outfit would give me an idea of what I could maybe throw together, using the pieces that I had bought and gotten as a gift from the Luna when I had come to this pack with absolutely nothing with me. I really wanted to look nice for my first party, I just didn’t know how, to be honest. Addie came skipping inside as she was wearing a dark green party dress. It had long sleeves and was fairly short, ending mid thigh. Her long black heels underneath made it seem as if she had legs for days. I stared at her with my mouth open. I could never pull something off like that! Her red hair was squeezed into curls, giving her a wild look, and letting me know that this girl was on a mission tonight. A very masculine mission, I believed. I sighed as I turned to look back into my closet, wrapping my arms in front of my chest as I bit my lip. I am so utterly f****d! “What’s wrong?” Addie asked as she came to stand next to me, peeking along over my shoulder inside my closet, as if the boogeyman himself would jump out any second now. “I don’t have party clothes.” I sighed as I shrugged, seeing Addie slip next to me as her fingers searched through my closet. “Yeah, I can tell. We need to go shopping as soon as we can, my little wolf.” She hummed, taking my hand and pulling me along with her, as we exited my room, stepped through the living room and walked straight into Addie’s bedroom, where her closet was still standing open, inviting us to take a look inside. I gasped for air as I saw the inside of my roommate’s closet. Why does anyone ever need so many clothes? How the hell does it all even fit in there? Addie giggled as she looked at me. “ OK, let me see what we have to work with here.” She hummed as she turned back around to face her clothes, already pulling out some pieces of fabric as she held them in front of my body, throwing some pieces on the bed, and hanging others back. Within three minutes, she gave me five pieces, ordering me to go and try them on. I had just thanked her, feeling that this girl right now was my guardian angel. Or closet angel whatever… After putting everything on, I decided to wear a burgundy dress, just for the sole fact that it was the longest out of all of them, as it reached just past my knees. Some of the others, well, I would never dare to exit the front door in them. The dress had thin straps, making my shoulders and chest almost fully exposed with my short hair, making me unable to hide behind my long locks anymore. I tried to wear my black ankle boots below the dress, and I put on my black belt, hoping that the attention could be pulled to the belt and not the fact that the dress looked as if it was glued against my body. But I grinned at my reflection in the mirror, seeing that it actually looked cute together. Making me grin even wider, as I looked at my first party outfit and how I had been able to pull it off. Addie’s eyes opened wide as she looked at me. “YES!” She screamed as she clapped her hands together. “I have lipstick to match with that dress, give me a second!” She yelped as she ran back outside of my room, returning just a moment later, as she handed over a lipstick and a pair of big, golden earrings. “I can’t take all this.” I spoke, shaking my head at her. I was thankful for the dress, but I felt as if I was getting into a debt, I would never be able to repay it. “Ivy, shut up and put on the damned earrings for your friend.” Addie giggled as she looked around in my room. “Oh, do you mind if I burrow your leather jacket?” I shook my head, waving at Addie to take my jacket. “Please do, it’s the least I can do, after everything you are giving me.” And Addie smiled wide as she put on my jacket and came to stand next to me, looking at both of our reflections in the mirror, as two gorgeous she-wolfs were staring back at us. “Ready to go to your first party, princess?” Addie grinned wide, her eyes sparkling with playfulness. I bit my bottom lip, excited and terrified at the same time, as I slowly nodded my head. “Yes, I think I’m ready.” Me and Addie left our condo, deciding we would just walk over to the party, since it was just a couple of blocks away from our building. The party was being held inside ‘The mix’, which was a bar that held an empty floor on the second floor that could be rented out to host events or this case, a big party. As soon as we made it into the street, music was booming through the air, and a sea of people had gathered around the entrance, waiting to get inside. My eyes opened wide as I saw this, I did not expect this! Why the hell are there so many wolves here? I looked over as a group of young shewolves walked past us, all giggling as they were talking with each other. “I wonder what he will look like…” I heard one of the girls speak, spiking my attention as I listened in to their conversation, while me and Addie kept on walking behind them towards the entrance of the bar. “Have you ever seen an ugly Alpha before then? You already know he’ll be drop dead gorgeous!” Adie rolled her eyes as she heard the girl talking. “You do know that the Alpha is already hitched, don’t you?” And one of the girls turned around, looking surprised at Addie’s words. “Of course we do, but didn’t you hear? There will be another Alpha here tonight as well, one that is still very much available!” Making the girls all start to giggle once again, as Addie looked at me, a plan already unfolding in her green eyes. “Well, isn’t that just lovely Ivy! There will be another Alpha here tonight.”
