He stepped forward and held his hand out to Chery. She shook his hand and looked up at him. She cannot read him, and honestly neither can I. I know that Silas is standing stock still next to me and he is clearly scared for his daughter. We do not know what he is about to say here, and we will have to wait for him to speak to know what he is about to do. There is nothing we can do right now as he watches her, but she doesn’t back down, or look down. She stares directly into his face, and then the unexpected happens. He reaches out and strokes her cheek where Raven's heel cut open her face. I can see the blush hit her cheeks, and she does finally look down away from him. He puts his hand under her chin and gently pulls her face up to look at him.
