“Kate, have you finished your job?” Mason came into my desk, holding his bag in one hand. I looked at the towering pile of papers on my table and sighed out a long breath. “Apparently, I still had a lot of things to do…” Mason suddenly closed my laptop. “It can wait. Now come with me. I want to show you the new apartment.” He grabs my hand, pulling me to the elevator. I never thought that Mason could be so considerate towards me. The elevator pings after a few seconds. We both entered and proceeded to go down the first floor. “Mason, where is the new apartment?” I asked in the middle of the ride. He switched his attention from driving towards me. “It was in the same building as my apartment. I need to keep you close. We can both go to the office together every day from now on.
