“Hey, T wake up, we’re here.” I opened my eyes. We'd been on the plane for three days. We'd stopped twice to fuel up and stretch our legs, and I was exhausted and worn out. By now, Shaun would probably have realized that I wasn’t going to turn up at the chapel for our wedding, and he’d be extremely pissed and would be doing everything in his power to find me. Let’s just hope he won’t go as far as searching every continent for me. I looked out of the window. We were confused where the hell we were. This sure wasn't anywhere I'd been before, and we certainly weren’t back in the U.K. so where the hell were we? “Where are we?” I asked groggily. “We’re in Australia, hun.” “What are we doing here?” “We are here to protect you hun.” “But what if he finds us out here?” “He won’t, but if, by chance, he does, we keep moving. Kristian has a lot of people he knows and trusts here, so we’re staying for a while.” “Where in Australia are we?” “Sydney. It’s thriving with people and jobs. We already have jobs to go to. You may not like what we are going to do as jobs, but once we get situated we can move on to bigger and better things, I promise you.” “Okay, I trust you Stac, please don’t let me regret this.” “I won’t. I promise you.” We all got off the private jet and walked over to the limousine. The driver greeted all of us and we slipped in. He closed the door behind us, putting our luggage into the boot of the car before he joined us in the car pulling away. I looked around in awe at the scenery in front of the Sydney Opera House. It was truly magnificent. I hadn’t realized how big it would be. This place was fantastic. I just hoped Shaun wouldn’t find us out here. This place was truly amazing. I want to live here for the rest of my life. I thought the heat was a killer. This place was truly perfect, and I'd love to travel the whole of Australia one day. “What are you thinking about T?’ “I was just thinking I couldn’t think of a better place to live right now.” “I’m glad you like it out here. No one knows Shaun out here, so he won’t be able to find us.” “I hope so I'd really like to see the rest of Australia one day.” “And you will, but we have to get settled. We have to go and see Big Bob tomorrow at the flamingo.” “Don’t tell me we’re going to be waitresses at some bar?’ “No just any waitresses, hun.” “What are you talking about, Stac?” She grinned and simply said, “You’ll find out.” I looked at Kristian. “What the hell had she gotten us into?” “I have no idea.” We finally pulled up at a block of large apartments. “Welcome to our new home T, this is our new start and end to an era and a new beginning.” “I like the sound of that.” “I thought you would.” We all got out of the car and got our luggage out of the boot. I had no idea how these guys had pulled it all off, but I guess they’d tell me one day. We stepped into the apartment. I was lost for words. It was all open plan with four doors that led off to the large living and dining space. “Wow.” “I know right.” “How did you…” “Ask no questions and I shall tell you no lies.” Kristian replied. Oh okay. “Go through your room is on the far right, ours is on the far left, so we won’t keep you awake.” He grinned. Stacy slapped him across the head. “Owe what the f…” “I don’t think T wants to know what we got up to in the bedroom.” “She might.’ He grinned. She slapped him again. “Owe woman.’ I laughed. “I’ll leave you two to argue it out.” “Sure hun, we’ll order in and tomorrow we’ll get some food in before we head off to the bar, okay.” “Yeah sure.” I said, walking away laughing. I walked into the large bedroom, looking around. I smiled at the four-poster bed in the center of the room, bedside tables at either end and a full-length walk in wardrobe. For the first time in a long time I could call somewhere home.
