Maia's POV
"You're my parents' lawyer? I ask him.
"Yes, my name is Leonard Dean. And I was notified immediately after the incident happened. First, I'd like to pass my sincere condolences, your father was a good man, it's tragic what happened," he says, wearing a concerned look on his face. One that tells me that he really knew Dad closely.
"Thank you," I say, "Now, may I ask why you are here?"
"Of course. Let's get right to it, is there somewhere we can talk?" he says, looking around, "I'd hate for us to keep talking here on the street," he adds.
I turn to look at my parent's house, and I see the hanging police line still swinging at the front porch. The yellow line reminds me that the house inside must still be a mess, since no one came back here since...
