Para akong binuhusan ng malamig na tubig about seeing that guy again and worst, siya pa ang magiging professor namin.
"Do you have any question, Miss Ocampo?"
"Uh..." How did he know my name? As far as I remembered kasi ay pangalan ko lang ang ibinigay ko sa kaniya three days ago. "Nothing, Sir," I replied.
He didn't respond and slowly dragged some books on his desk. "As your new professor, I'm expecting everyone to join in our discussion."
"Yes, Sir."
"I have only two rules for this class: First, I want everyone to pay attention when I'm discussing. And next, I don't want to see anyone slouching."
"Yes, Sir!" my classmates replied.
I just rolled my eyes and diverted my gaze outside the window. The sunlight is touching my skin kaya naman mas lalo akong nairita. I don't like sunshines, mas prefer ko ang gloomr weather kaya naman whenever it rains, nasa good mood talaga ako.
Mr. Buenavista started engaging with my classmates habang ako ay tahimik lang. Hindi ko alam kung paano ako magre-react sa sitwasyon dahil even though I'm the kind of girl who doesn't flinch at anyone, nakakaramdam pa rin naman ako ng hiya after what I didto Nicholas.
"Miss Ocampo!"
Nagulat naman na ako nang bigla niya akong tawagin. "Y-yes, Sir?"
"Stand up!"
"What?" Napataas naman ang kilay ko dahil sa sinabi niya. How dare he? "Why, Sir? Did I do anything?"
"You were not paying attention. Kanina pa kita tinatawag but it seems that you're thinking about something else," aniya.
I just gave him a poker face. "I'm paying attention."
"Stand up," anito. "Stand up until this class ends."
"What? No!" asik ko pa. Ano'ng karapatan niya to order me do stuff like that?
He didn't respond. Napasulyap na lang ako sa ibang mga kaklase ko na alam ko namang hate nila ako since day one. I swear, I’ll never forgive you Nicholas.
“What are you waiting for, Miss Ocampo?” He added.
I just rolled my eyes out of frustration. “I’m standing already.”
“Not here, outside of this room.”
Did he just say outside? The audacity of this guy!
“That’s out of bound—”
“You might have forgotten you who are talking too, Miss Ocampo,” putol niya sa akin sabay sulyap sa buong klase. “That’s what you get when you don’t pay attention in my class. Understood, class?”
“Yes, Sir!”
Padabog kong kinuha ang bag ko sabay sulyap muna kay Lorraine na sumenyas sa akin ng ‘aja’ kaya napa-iling na lang ako at tuluyan nang lumabas. Walang aircon dito sa labas so basically, it’s really hot during this time. Eight in the morning pero ang lala na ng init, pagkatapos ay wala pa akong maupuan na maayos.
“I’m starting to hate that guy, argh!” I mouthed habang nakatayo rito sa labas. Hindi na nga siya maalis sa isipan ko after we met in the bar, pagkatapos ay gagawin niya pa ‘to sa akin? I’ll make him pay, soon.
I stood here for around 15 minutes at mabuti na lang dahil maaga siyang nag-dismiss ng klase. Aba, subukan niya lang na abutin ako rito ng isang oras, I’ll do everything para patalsikin siya sa school namin.
“Argh, so init!” I whispered while waiting for them to leave the room.
Mabuti na lang dahil maya-maya ay isa-isa na rin silang nagsilabasan. I waited for Lorraine to finally leave and after a few seconds, lumabas na rin siya.
“Are you okay, Ven?”
“Definitely not, subukan lang talaga ng Tyler na iyan na—”
“What, Miss Ocampo?”
Tyler is standing in front of us right now dahilan para maputol ang pagsasalita ko. He was giving me this annoying look kaya naman hinawakan ko na sa braso ni Lorraine. “Let’s go, Lorraine.”
“I won’t stop doing that until you finally learn your lesson, Miss Ocampo,” he uttered before totally leaving the room.
Hindi na lang ako bumaling pa ulit sa kaniya at tuluyan na lang ding umalis. That guy is getting into my nerves already.
Buong araw akong walang gana sa ibang subjects namin dahil sa nangyari kaninang umaga. I couldn’t even focus to what the professor has been saying for the past one hour and a half kaya napapasubsob ako sa desk ko unconsciously.
Dagdagan pa ni Alexandra na paniguradong natutuwa na naman because of what happened to me.
“What? That guy from the bar is your new professor?” Cheska exclaimed.
“Sadly, yeah…”
We were at our favorite cafe right now. Katatapos lang din kasi ng klase namin at dito na rin kami nagkita-kita. Mabuti na lang since wala silang mga night class unlike before.
“Then that’s better!”
Napatingin naman na ako kay Josiah. “What’s better about it?”
“Mas easy na lang ang pag-seduce mo sa kaniya. Wow, I like it! Forbidden love is exciting,” Grima added.
“Stop it, guys!” Lorraine then started patting my back. “Kung wala kayong mabuting sasabihin, comfort Heaven instead. Pinatayo lang naman kasi iyan kanina ni Sir Buenavista outside the room for the whole class.”
“Oh, he did?” ani pa ni Cheska.
Napatango na lang ako at napatingin sa phone ko dahil biglang nag-text si Daddy sa akin. After reading the message, kaagad na rin akong tumayo from our table. “I’m sorry, guys, I have to go. May important family dinner daw sa bahay and I need to be there.”
“Oh, don’t tell us na baka arranged marriage na naman iyan? Well, that happened to me before, Ven. Be careful,” Cheska warned me.
Bahagya naman akong napangiti. “I don’t think they’ll do that to me, pero if ever that happens, I’ll gladly accept it.”
“What? Why!? Akala ko ba hate mo ang parents mo?” pagtatakang tanong ni Grima sa akin.
I just gave them a faint smile. “Of course, hindi ba’t sabi ninyo ay I should try entering into a new relationship? Then that’s okay. Anyway, I really need to go na.”
“Sige, take care, Ven!” ani Lorraine.
“Akala siguro ni Heaven biro ang pagpapakasal.”
I’ve heard Cheska’s voice pero hindi ko na lang ito pinansin at kaagad na ring umalis.
When I get home, sumalubong sa akin ang kapatid kong si Lance. He was smiling at me creepily kaya hindi ko alam kung ano’ng problema niya. “Ate, tawag ka nila Mommy. Magbihis ka na raw.”
“I know! I know!”
Hindi ko na lang siya pinansin at kaagad na ring tumungo sa kwarto ko. I treated myself a cozy warm shower and put some light make up. Kinuha ko na rin ang designer dress ko from my walk in closet and wore it.
