I remain seated for hours on the same spot where Chaz left me. I tighten my arms around my legs as I tuck my head between my knees. My eyelids are swollen, my nose is stuffed and my body is heavy. 'He hasn’t come back yet. But he can’t be serious in leaving me.' Though feeling weak and reluctant, I force myself to stand up and get out of the bedroom. The chandelier’s light in the living area is dim which magnifies the gloomy atmosphere. Chaz isn’t here so I walk towards the kitchen and the dining area then to the powder room, only to get disappointed for not finding him.
