Anya was in her office, but she was not paying any attention to her surroundings and this did not go unnoticed by John. He was staring at her as and when he could and though he tried to get her alone, she successfully dodged him.
He had back – to – back meetings till about 3 PM, so there was nothing he could do in the meantime. After his last meeting, he buzzed Lily in “Lily, could you ask Ms. Smith to come to my office”. It was not a request but rather a command.
There was a knock on her door and her assistant’s head popped in “Hey boss, the big boss wants you in his office”. Anya looked at Lily unblinking like a deer caught in headlights. “Heeelllloooo” Lily walked in and waved her hand in front of Anya’s face.
“Uhhh… sorry, what were you saying?” Anya finally got back to her senses ‘
