"No" I gritted my teeth. My parents wasn't pleased with my response.
"Sorry let me say that you understand so that it get into your thick skull, you're going to escort Raiden if bloody well like it or not" my father growled. Over my dead body I will.
"It will look good if you guys will be seen together as two packs will be united so people can see. There's going to be important people coming to celebrate your birthday so I suggest you keep your temper in check and behave" my mother stated. Raiden's parents looked happy with that and Raiden beamed.
"Fine" I grumbled, leaving with nothing else to say and going to my room, getting ready for tonight. Taking a shower to clean myself and my hair. Once I'm done that I tried myself up and went to my closet to get my navy suite. I want to match Rani, my pretty little demon so that everyone knows that she belongs to me and only me. We finally at the dinner table after mother scold me for bring Rani with me instead of Raiden and greeting the guests and saying happy birthday to me including some of the elders from the council came and greeted me with my little demon Rani and to my disappointment, Raiden on my other side, they also greeted her and ignoring Rani but I don't think she was that bothered anyway. However, I've noticed that during that time she been doing some pranks on the guests, I wanted to laughbut I kept my face neutral. Anyway, we're waiting for our food, my parents were engaging with Raiden and her parents but I pay no mind to them. I just staring at Rani, watching her drinking her champagne. "What did you say?" facing me with utter shocked.
"You heard me" raising a brow at me.
"You think I look beautiful?" She whispered, pointing at herself. I just nod, giving her a warm smile and staring at her big, gorgeous hazel green eyes. She thanked me and was blushing. It suited her. That's when the food has arrived and everyone started eating.
Once the everyone finished eating and the servants take away the empty plates, the music stating playing and the guests started to dance. Rani was watching people mingle and swaying to the music. I shot up from my seat which made everyone on the table to jumped.
"Dance with me" I asked stretching out my hand for her. My parents thought I was insane and Raiden well I don't actually care what she was thinking. I just wanted to dance with Rani. She looked at my hand then me. I reached my hand a little closer to her, couraging to take it and hoping shell take it. She looked hesitant but she took my hand and I lead her to the centre of the hall.
Rani looking nervous when people are watching her. I know she is feeling uncomfortable so I lift her chin with my index finger and my thumb in between so that she can look at me.
"Just look at me. It's only you and me. No one else matters" I reassured her. She gave me a small smile. I put one hand on her lower back and the other in her small hand.
"Ok who are you and what have you done to the real Rudra?" She jest. I just rolled my eyes and we started to dance.

"Yes I'm having fun thank you. I'm having a great time at the moment" she smiled at me and to her surprise I smiled back at her.
"Good. You deserve to have fun on your birthday" I said sincerely. She blushed to that. Too adorable.
We dance for a while until the music stopped.
"I have to go to the bathroom Rudra" she said.
"Ok don't be long" letting her go. While I was waiting for Rani, some of the guest wanted to talk to me but I wasn't really paying attention to them. When I looked over I saw Rani coming out but before I could go to her I saw Raiden bumped into her. It looked like they were arguing. What the hell that wicked woman want with Rani. She better not ruin her night. I'm going to end this once for all.
