/Kiara's POV/

I was so angry about Maddie breaking my lovely glasses and much angrier because I have to depend on contacts when I have to go to places that I need to look presentable instead of giving off the homeless vibe that my broken glasses are giving off, though I still took it with me just in case I may need it. a Contact lens is something that I rarely use because I have not gotten very used to it and am the kind of person that will always choose my comfort over looking good.

Though Maddie apologized to me, and she has been apologizing ever since her driver picked us up and I did accept but it doesn't change the fact that I will be greatly inconvenienced because of it that's why I have been quiet since we entered the car.

I didn't even notice when we eventually got to the villa's first security checkpoint before getting close to the main gate because I was just trying to strategize the way forward when the driver stopped the car to convince the security about driving us in but to no avail so we had to drop down from the car.

the villa's main gate is a Giant white gate with a gold design which is a remote-controlled electric gate. after we went past the security Checkpoint with all the checking and checking of both ourselves and luggage while we dropped our box at the gate with our luggage tag for easy identification and we were asked to go into the Vila where we saw another checkpoint where we signed in and were given our tags, then we were asked to wait for a bus to convey us to our next destination which we did.

Just as we were told earlier two cars came to pick us up, and because Maddie was on the phone speaking to her Mom, she signaled me to go ahead. w while I was in the car, I couldn’t help but admire the terraced gardens, fountains, winding cobblestone streets, and gleaming white villas.

"This villa is built sparing no luxury"I concluded amazed by the work of art done to its aesthetic appearance.

The car drops me and the other three contestants in the car in front of a magnificent building with a guest house body written in front of it. On the outside, the private pool is surrounded by a lush garden looking out to a magnificent view.

we were directed into the building where we were asked to sit down in the lounge while waiting for the remaining contestants and after a while, the attendance was taken where contestant eleven was absent.

We waited for this contestant for close to thirty minutes and after a while, the officials step out to address us. we were asked to first delete any selfies that we might have taken inside the environment and take down any social media post-DAT we av done earlier before we were asked to submit our phones after switching it off because cell phones are not allowed. We were also given a few rules and the most important of them all is that we are not allowed to go out under any circumstance till the selection process is over.

Next, we were assigned to rooms by picking the lottery. a fancy vase was passed around and we were instructed to keep our hands in a pick out a card without looking inside. the card was of different colors and two people with the same colors were automatically roommates, so were asked to go into the building to find the room with the same color with our card while we converge back in the next two hours after settling into our room in the lounge, which will serve as our assembly hall during the princess selection process.

I picked a purple card while Maddie picked a green card so unfortunately we won't be staying in the same room but we still went hand in hand to find our rooms together. there are five bedrooms in this suit but none of the five rooms had any of our colors on so Maddie and I went back to the lounge where an attendant with the tag 'ask me' directed us to another building.

Maddie was able to find her room in the next building that we were directed to which is a three-bedroom suite, so I and three other contestants were directed to another building entirely

the building that we were directed to, we were giving a strict warning not to go beyond the ground floor.

On the lower floor that we were asked to make ourselves comfortable in a room that resembles a Family Suite, which is a long room with a double bed on one side and two single beds on the other side separated by a heavy curtain and hanging Japanese screens, with a complete bathroom/toilet.

I find the color tag in my hand in one of the single beds so I just made myself comfortable there. after settling into my space, I go to the kitchen refrigerator to get a bottle of water, I passed by the dining room with large windows overlooking the swimming pool, and a fully equipped kitchen.

This room is not like the specially themed room in the other bill, it just looks so plain as if the designer of this villa has no sense of flashy colors.

/Aiden's POV/

I planned to just attend the wind plan business then go to the princess selection after my meetings.at the meeting, Liam was with my phone as usual and the phone was on airplane mode.

I was supposed to put a call through to Audrey to ask her if she got to the villa safely but I wasn't able to do that because my meeting with the representatives of King's corporation took longer than I intended it to make our round-up very late at night. So I had no chance to call Audrey neither was she callable to get through to me.

"Why don't we stop by at one of green life's branches to grab dinner??"Liam suggests as soon as we entered the car, shortly before leaving the company

"We can stop by at the restaurant, but I won't be eating dinner with you because Audrey told me earlier today that she will cook my favorite meal and bring it along to the villa so you should order take out because I won't be generous to share my food with you, "I told Liam in a smug tone

"Do you really that the food that she prepared in the morning will still be in a good condition??" Liam asked seriously

"Why won't it be, Audrey is a good expert and she should know how best to keep the food for me" I answered confidently

"I just want to remind you that you should make up your mind because ordering food from any restaurant will be difficult after getting into the royal villa will be a bit difficult because food cooked outside won't be allowed in this late without thorough scrutiny. more so getting food from the royal kitchen will be a bit difficult because its past dinner time already, and most importantly we didn't make prior preparation with them"Liam reminded

"You and I both know that doing things without prior planning is not tolerated by the royal family more so it is against your principles" Liam added

"Instead of lecturing me, you should be inside the restaurant ordering your food.....you better take your membership card with you so that they don't waste your time"I advise Liam

"Never mind, my face is my membership card" Liam replied smugly as he stepped down from the car and scoff.

In no time he came back with different packages and I was wondering how fast he was able to do that because green life doesn't operate without membership and it's difficult to get food from them without making a reservation.

"That was way too fast.....how did you manage to do that?"I remarked

"That's a piece of cake for me" he replied nonchalantly before sitting comfortably in the car, and we were on our way to King's villa.

From the time Liam dropped down from the car to order take-outs, I have been trying Audrey's number, even up till now her number is still not reachable

"Is there any other way that I can get through to those at the camp without raising suspicion??"I inquired from Liam

"I am afraid there is no other way because contestants won't be allowed to use their phones during the selection process so that's possibly why you can't get through to her" he replied nodding his head

"But she could have sent me a message or something when she got to the villa so that I can be rest assured that she is okay" I lamented

"I know right, but her phone can be out of battery" Liam replied pretending to be interested while scrolling through his phone.

The drive went on with Liam busy checking on God knows what on his phone, and I was too worried about Audrey to be nosy till we got to the gate of the villa.

The security is much tighter this time around and I think that is because of the selection process, we were almost not allowed in because we were few minutes to the curfew time which is just how the royal villa operates.

We drove straight to my suite in the royal villa where somebody was waiting outside the villa to speak to Liam which I found unusual, everybody knows how I am with my suite so allowing an attendant I have never seen before in front of it of course made me frown. I had no idea that the next news Liam was going to dump on me was going to make offended

"Am sorry to inform you my prince but I was just told that there are a few contestants who are staying on the ground floor of your suit so if you want to use this suite, you have to go in through the staircase at the back which leads directly to your suite"Liam informs

"Are there a shortage of suites in this villa that will make them accommodate contestants in my private suite???"I asked fuming

"There are other suites but am afraid it's too far from both the guest house and the other suite used for the participant's accommodation so the queen asked them to use your suite... She said that you can transfer to her suite if you are not convenient with this arrangement but she will prefer you to adjust since you are here as an official for the process and not a prince"Liam explained

"That's how my mother is, she has already made her decision leaving me no choice but to obey but at the same time she makes it look like she is giving me an alternative but at the same time cornering me in the process.......how typical of my mother"I groaned frustrated

"Why don't you go into your suite first, you are obviously exhausted so why don't you freshen up and get some rest while I check around the villa to find out which room Audrey is, its even possible that she may be one of those contestants in the ground floor"Liam suggested leading the way

"And if she is not??"I demanded spotting an intimidating look but its too back he didn't look back to see it

"I can arrange it for her to be moved here" he answered almost immediately and I couldn't help but smile

that is one thing I always appreciate about Liam, he is very smart and knows how to think of the next way forward when there is a problem.

Liam didn't come into the suite with me, he just escorted me to the door and I took his advice to freshen up. after I finished freshening up, my bones were tired and I wanted to sleep so badly but at the same time seeing the love of my life comes first before anything so I waited patiently for Liam.

Liam is very efficient but he came back late and it's not just that he came back late, he has some sort of worried expression on his face when he walked into my room.

"We have a situation.....Audrey, who happens to be contestant 11 didn't make it into the villa at all"Liam informs me

"what do you mean by she didn't make it into the villa??"I asked impatiently

"she didn't sign into the villa at all so I checked the CCTV footage and saw that she made it to the gate but didn't go past the first security checkpoint as she was seen receiving a call so she left"he answered

"What??"I gaped confused

Audrey made it to the gate but turned back because she received a call?? this doesn't make sense at all, what kind of call could she have received that is more important than the princess selection???

"Why didn't she call to communicate that something came up??? is she okay???"I thought as I went to bed exhausted ignoring Liam convincing me to eat something because I lost my appetite already
