As I ascended the stairs to the third floor, my heart was hammering against my ribcage. I wasn’t so sure that it was a smart move for me to entertain this silly idea. Reid was a grown man. He could fend for himself. He probably already ate dinner. I just hated the thought of him eating alone, when his Mate was so near to him. And as always, the ache for him was stronger at night. I didn’t want to complete the Mating process, though. I just wanted to be near him. When I finally stepped into the hallway on the third floor, I could smell him. He was definitely in his room.
