Against the better judgment she never listened to Kegan crept into Luke's room in the middle of the night. His eyes were closed but from the way his chest rose up and down at an irregular pace she could tell he was awake.
"Luke?"
He ignored her presence but showed no sign of trying to hide that he wasn't sleeping. She tiptoed closer to him. The bed dipped when she sat at the foot of it. It had to minutes where she just watched his chest rise up and down. When his eyes finally opened she c****d her head to the side.
"Ignoring people is rude."
"..."
"I can't sleep."
"I don't care."
She scooted further onto the bed and brought her knees up to her chest. He never told her to leave but he also didn't welcome her. "Luke?"
"What?" He replied gruffly.
