"Yeah, Mom will be proud of me," he said with a little smile. "I know she would want this for me," he added.
"How many days do you think we are gonna be here for?" I asked.
"Ten days, I guess. Being outside the Academy's ground isn't safe," he said, and I only nodded in agreement.
"Let's hope for the best," I replied then looked out the hallway window to see the moon high in the sky.
"It's getting late. I'll be heading to my room now. Goodnight, Kelvin," I told him, and we stopped walking and turned to each other.
"Okay, goodnight, Destiny," he mumbled, smiled at me, and then left.
I turned back, ready to go back to my room, but then I saw June and her friends leaving the Academy.
"What the f**k do they think they were doing?" I asked no one in particular.
