8 Faithful Diary, When I awoke after my splendid encounter with Terra, I felt oddly apprehensive. This seemed strange, to me. Usually, following a tryst as pleasurable as the one my girlfriend had gifted me, I felt light as air: love in my heart; joy in my soul. Not so, on this occasion. I glanced at the clock. Gone ten, and yet I felt as though I'd been hit by a Mac truck, as my grandfather used to say. Terra emerged from the bathroom and ducked into the closet. She must have just showered, because her hair was dripping wet. She'd put on my robe, but the terrycloth proved insufficient to soak up all that water. Even after she'd disappeared into the walk-in, small pools of wetness remained on the floor. They shimmered in the dim autumn sun gleaming through the bathroom window.
