Chapter Nine TIME MOVED AT TWO SETTINGS on any ship: glacially slow or at hyper-speed. Over the next few days, Max barely had time to exchange words or stolen kisses with Inrit. Between her engineering and maintenance duties and his job in security, they were working on inverted schedules and busy at all hours.
