Now it would turn dark in less than half an hour. With no power supply, the street lamps certainly would not work. It was much more dangerous to ride in the dark.
Elvis stopped by the preschool and observed it carefully. The yard was none too big, with a dense iron fence surrounding it. A three-story building was located in the back of the yard, and behind it was a small garden. There was a recreation area before the building with game facilities for children. Elvis noticed that the corner gate was open; he believed that that was the place where child zombies ran out from.
The reason Elvis observed the preschool was that he was thinking about looking for a relatively safe place to stay with his mom. When he made it home, he and his mother would run out of food and water sooner and later.
