The next morning, Elvis toured around the yard, as usual, to see if there were zombies around. If there was one or two, he would kill them immediately.
Then he went to the gate where everyone was there. Some were ready to go, some were there seeing them off.
“Shirley, take care of yourself and Jade while I’m away.” Dave said to his wife affectionately and didn’t have the intention to leave, as if they were about to be apart with each other forever.
“Dave, let’s get ready to leave. We need to get back as early as possible.” Seeing the rising sun, Elvis didn’t want to waste any time and urged Dave to go.
Upon hearing that, Dave let go of his wife’s hands and got in the truck after casting a final glance at his wife and child.
