Chapter 10
The past few weeks had been amazing. After my hand healed, and I got the stitches removed, I jumped back into work with renewed vigor. I’d always loved my job, loving helping things grow, and keeping things neat and tidy. Hell, I even loved pulling weeds, finding it cathartic and methodical. But these past weeks had been even better than I’d expected. Not only had I been able to cut ties with a few of my less-than-stellar clients, but a few of the other semi-questionable ones had decided not to renew contracts after I’d had to skip their lawns while I healed, choosing to go with someone else instead. I didn’t miss any of them.
