Chapter 11“What is it?” Sylvia said. She was already rolling her feet onto the floor and pulling her dressing gown toward her from the bottom of the bed as someone knocked on her bedroom door. “What’s the matter? Who is it?” She’d woken from a deep sleep to someone hammering on the door.
