CHAPTER SEVENTEEN Kyle’s POV Maybe it was the rain but I could tell she was as much sober now as I was. We sat in complete silence in the almost empty park save for a homeless man asleep on the corner. I had offered to drive her to Josh's place so she could at least get warm, but given her stubbornness, Ava had stood her ground and insisted I drive her somewhere quiet. For the last ten minutes or so, we had remained wrapped in the complete serenity that bathed the park and the ominous silence ruling this place. I would have considered it soothing to the soul if my mind was nota haven to the haunting memories bequeathed to me by this god awful town. The rain had long ceased, leaving us cold and shivering, yet neither of us wanted to return to the warm of the house and actually change int
