Beautiful People

Gray let his eyes take me in much longer before he gave a smile and then nodded. "If we stay in the hotel two more nights, will I get to pick your shoes and have your dances?" I nodded, holding his gaze. "You can have whatever you want." His eyes thinned, and he ran a long finger down my face. "When you talk like this, you make me regret waiting till they tried to elope." My brows furrowed a bit. "You... knew everything about me even before the wedding, right?" "That doesn't matter anymore," he said, his voice going even lower than it already was. "You are here now, and I am going to work with what I see." It was comforting to know that my past with Kevin would not come back to me now if I could help it. At least, he would see me as the woman I am now, not the one I was. The gullible, completely in love one. "As for your shoes, I already have them picked," he announced, interrupting my thoughts just as an attendant brought a beautiful black box. I gave a small laugh and turned to him, and it was crazy how being this close to him made me feel more comfort than fear. More shivers than tremors. "You tricked me." "It was a fair deal," he said, slowly moving away as he led me to the couch. I sat down, the dress spreading around me, my legs out. The attendant walked to us, then handed him the box. I watched as he opened it, a satisfied smile spreading on his lips. I started to stretch my hand to take it so I could wear it, but instead, he went on his knees. I stopped, my eyes wide, my feet immediately moving away from him. He looked up to me, his eyes holding confusion. "What is it?" "You are... on your knees." He seemed to think about it, like he wasn't too sure what the problem was. "And?" I bit down on my lips. "Well, I... My feet and..." He sighed, then gently reached for my right foot. He examined it, then looked up to me. "What about your feet?" "I mean..." I trailed off, trying to find a reasonable explanation. It wasn't about my feet. It was about the fact that he was on one knee in front of me, his hand resting elegantly on his other knee, while one held my right foot. I mean, Kevin has been on his knees in front of me before, but that was the last thing I expected of Gray. Gray Gavin. The Gray Gavin. He wasn't just any man. He wasn't even just any billionaire. "You mean...?" I swallowed. "Its... well, feet." "You mean a whole fetish." I broke into a laugh but then shook my head. "I can do it." "I am well aware of that," he said simply, before taking out one of the pair. It was an elegant black shoe, with a gold heel beneath. If I had the chance to pick, I would have picked it too. He slowly wore it on me, fixing the belt right above my ankle, then running his fingers down my foot. Without a word, he pulled my other foot and did the sane thing, then ran his fingers down my foot. "It's feet, Gray," I said again, and he shrugged. I knew Gray was a very unpredictable man, but what he did next was something I would never have even imagined. He gently brought his hand to the back of my foot and slowly raised it to an angle before he leaned and placed a small kiss on the middle of my foot. My eyes were wide as he slowly rested my foot back, then stood up, his eyes meeting mine. I was barely blinking, my chest heaving, my eyes unable to leave his. "Your feet are beautiful," he said, then tucked his hands in his pockets. "And no, I don't have a foot fetish." That broke the trance I found myself in, and I laughed, shaking my head at the comical timing of his rather seriously delivered jokes. "It isn't wrong if you do." He shrugged. "But I don't." I laughed again, and he tilted his head to the side, watching me. I sighed, a smile still on my face as I looked up, meeting his almost dazed gaze. "Uhm... is there something between my teeth?" "Funny how that is the first thing that pops in your mind." I shrugged. "I mean, you were looking at me like that and..." "And you didn't think I found your smile beautiful?" My lips parted, and I swallowed. "Are you repaying the favour because I told you I found you beautiful last night?" He chuckled before leaning, one hand resting on my side of the couch, his eyes meeting mine. He brought one finger to bring up my chin, then leaned to me, tilting slightly as his eyes darted to my lips. My eyes closed as I waited to taste him again, and Lord Knows I do want to. I would never admit it, but his taste, it was perfection. He leaned away, chuckling as he ran a hand across my lips. "Or maybe we are too beautiful people who happen to be married." I bit down on my lips hard, and my eyes opened to meet his. "Are you going to change?" "Mhm," he said, his eyes alternating between my lips and my eyes. "You do not enjoy watching strip teases, do you?" My cheeks flared up, but I knew what he was doing. Teasing me. Getting under my skin. Taming me. "We are married," I replied, trying my best to look unfazed. "I will have plenty of time to see you naked if you keep the lights on." He raised his right brow, and for a long moment, he didn't day anything. "Sir, sorry to interrupt. I brought your suit. It is the black double-breasted velvet three pieces from the summer 2024 collection. There is also a..." The attendant's voice faded as Gray ran a finger down my neck. "I intend to keep the lights on." "W... what?" He shrugged. "My suit is here. I believe... in between having that on and this off... I will have to keep the lights on for you, sweetheart."
