Happy Place

My lips parted, my hand immediately coming to cover my mouth in a gasp. Gray's eyes grew darker, and without a word, he turned towards me. I feel like he had something to say, but then decided against it and let go of the car to the floor. "I don't think she is short of flowers, neither does she need another man to buy them for her." The guard that had brought it immediately moved away, his eyes darting nervously towards me."I apologize. I will get rid of them immediately." Gray didn't say a word until the guard was out of sight. "I don't know who that was," I said immediately, my hands leaving my lips. "I swear, Gray, I..." "I didn't ask," he said simply, His voice so low it was almost inaudible. "It's been a long day." He walked past me into the mansion, and I turned to him, both extremely confused about the flowers and where they had come from, troubled about what Gray would think especially with the fact that he had been cheated on before, and a slight guilt concerning all of the big promises I had made regarding being with him, and then just flaking the minute trouble arose. I let out a small sigh and followed him in, a small part of me hoping I hadn't just lost the happy place I was starting to discover.
