Heat

200 Words
I didn't realize when I slept off again, but I woke up some time later, feeling extremely relaxed, my mind calm. I smiled too myself as I started to pull the sheets away from me when I looked up, and I froze. Gray was looking down at me, his eyes slightly wide, the stormy colours swirling around. I could feel all of my senses shut down for a minute, my mind freezing up and not letting me even process anything. "Good morning," he said, his voice low and somewhat flirty just like his gesture of leaning in closer as his hand ran down the side of my face. I felt all over. My neck, my ears, my stomach, my cheeks. I could feel my toes curl, and before I knew it, I grabbed the sheets and covered my face with, my eyes closing. There was a stunned silence for the first few seconds before suddenly, he started to laugh, his hand resting on the edge of my waist and lightly squeezing, his laughter rich and beautiful. I only felt heat fill my cheeks even more, my stomach flipping, but this part of being in love... it felt so damn good.
