Whole Palace is crying over the death of its queen.
Little Agniv is looking at his mother's dead body and his new sister who is in a maid's lap.
"matasree open your eyes, see I'm here." Agniv said not knowing that his mother won't open her eyes ever
"dasi matasree se kahe na ki apne netra khole. Hum unse milne aye hai. Vo kitna vishram karengi (Maid, please tell mother to open her eyes . I want to meet her , how much will she rest?).." Agniv said to a maid
That little boy is hurt very much. His mother stopped loving him and carrying him after she got pregnant.
He always hated his sibling because of whom his mother doesn't show his love for him.
His father only loves him according to him.
Once Shikanya got pregnant she could not carry or give time to Agniv as she was becoming very weak day by day.
"Prince your matashree won't open her eyes again she has gone near God. He called her to help him in heaven
" the chief of the ministers told Prince
"no my matasree hasn't gone anywhere. You're lying." the kid denied to believe it and started to shake his mother with his tiny hands but his mother didn't moved
He started to cry profusely as his mother didn't reply.
They had already sent a letter for Agnidev stating that Shikanya is no more.
But it will take time to reach him and come back.
So they have to finish her last rituals without him only.
It's his punishment for not being able to see his wife for the last time.
They did it and Agniv did her mukhagni. He screamed and cried saying that his mother will be hurt if they put her on fire. He was thrashing around to go near her mother who was burning in pyre.
He even fainted because of exhaustion.
Agnishikha cried her lungs out and didn't stop even after feeding. It was like that little soul also can understand that her mother is gone.
Days passed and nothing was the same in the Palace.
Agniv was out of control and Agnishikha always cried.
Even all the maids and soldiers along with higher rank ministers are Mourning for their young queen.
They all are wearing white clothes. It's a rule that if any of the royals die then every person in the Palace has to wear white clothing for a month.
After 13 days of Shikanya's death Agnidev came back with his wife Sugandha.
He was behaving normally with her like a husband should do.
When he reached the Palace he was shocked to see everyone in white clothing.
"What happened Senapati? Why is everyone in white clothing?" Agnidev asked
But Senapati isn't in state to reply. He was looking at Sugandha with wide eyes. But he lowers his eyes remembering that she is now his queen.
Before he could reply anything, Agniv came running.
He was running away from the maid who was trying to feed him.
"pitashree," he screamed as he spotted Agnidev
Agnidev had wide eyes while he saw his son.
Who is bald and is wearing a white dhoti only without any ornaments.
His heart sank thinking about the reason.
"Agniv why are you wearing this?" Agnidev asked his son taking him in his embrace
"pitashree they are so bad they burn matashree I screamed but no one listened to me. They burned her." Agniv said crying hard and Agnidev felt someone poured hot lava in his ear
"Senapati what is he saying?" Agnidev demanded
"Maharaja maharani ji is no more she died while giving birth to our princess Agnishikha. She has named her before closing her eyes. We had sent a letter to inform you about this and we could not have waited for you that's why we have to do her last rituals." Senapati replied and Agnidev hold his son tightly
Her last words rang in his ears.
" but why I'm feeling that if this time you will go I won't see you ever."
It was indeed true. They both could not see each other for the last time.
" oh god what is this? The Queen passed away even before knowing that you are married or even seeing me. And she also left her infant. "Sugandha said and wailed loudly
It was fake that anyone can say. At this moment she is the happiest person as she has no Competition now. Agnidev is all hers.
" Dasi take him, "he says forwarding Agniv who is crying still
" Agniv don't cry son. Go with her and I will come back.. "Agnidev said with a broken voice
" Dasi showed Maharani Sugandha her chamber. "Saying he left from there and walk towards Shikanya's chamber
Everything was the same as he saw last time. But only the owner of this chamber isn't here.
He walked further and screamed Shikanya's name loudly.
" Maharaja ap agaye? Hum apki pratiksha kar rahe the. Apne bohot vilamb kar dia ate hue, (King, you came? I was waiting for you. You came very late.)" he heard Shikanya's voice
She is standing beside the bed wearing a white lehenga looking like an angel. Her face has a glow that is impossible for any human to have.
" Shikanya, I knew it. I knew that you can't leave me. They all lied to me. I will kill them all." Agnidev snarled
"hahaha no one lied to you maharaja. Who can lie to you? They said the truth only.
I'm dead maharaja I'm no more. And do you know what is the irony? The person whom I loved most killed me and that person is you.
You killed me maharaja. What was my fault? What was my children's fault? You knew that I am not normal. You knew that to be with you.
To fulfil my wifely duties I gave up on my powers. I had under developed powers. You knew that if you break this promise my soul will leave my body but still you did why?
Was my fault that I loved you unconditionally? You failed me maharaja you failed my love. You insulted my love.
I know you are not in your sense this moment neither you will be. But remember one thing: what you sow that you reap. I may forgive you but your karma won't.
I will be waiting for you maharaja come to me when the purpose of your life is completed. You have a lot to endure my king.
You do whatever is fixed for you. At the end of the time you will find me waiting for you. "Shikanya's soul said while Agnidev stood dumb founded
His eyes filled with tears, tears of helplessness, tears of losing his loved one.
" it's time to leave maharaja. I just wanted to meet you and tell you what I feel I can't tell you anything else that's against the rules of my world. My time has finished. I love you." Shikanya said and vanished in thin air
With that Agnidev also lost his consciousness and once he opened his eyes he wouldn't remember anything that happened.
