Chapter 5Todd decided maybe it was a good thing they couldn’t see the sky; it prevented him from focusing too much on the amount of time passing. Without checking his watch, there was no way to tell how late in the day it was getting other than the fact his stomach started to rumble. They’d each brought food and water for the day, and he pulled out a sandwich, taking a few minutes to eat. With any luck they’d be back with the wagon train before their provisions ran out.
