Aryanna’s POV:
I ran and ran like my life depended on it, because it did. I prayed to the moon goddess that no one would catch me. Almost getting to the pack borders, I stopped and hid behind a tree as I looked at the guards that were there. I counted them and realized that they were six in number. If I was able to quietly sneak past them, I might be able to make it and finally get out of this hell hole.
I started walking slowly, hoping to make it out, and I was almost successful when I mistakingly stepped on a twig that snapped and grabbed their attention. Not knowing what to do, I started running. Maybe if I ran fast enough, I might be able to make it into another pack's borders. The guards quickly noticed me and started following me, all of them intent on catching me.
Being the weakling that I was and also coupled with the fact that I was already tired, I wasn't able to run very far. One of the guards got close to me, threw himself at me and tackled me to the ground. He stood up while grabbing a handful of my night wear in his fist, my breasts half exposed. I struggled against him, but he gave me a hard slap to my face that sent me straight to the ground.
They dragged me back to the Alpha's house, all the while laughing and making fun of me. They mocked me and made stupid jokes amongst themselves. They took turns messing with me and I had no strength to fight back. I had no strength to do anything. I knew what awaited me back at the pack house and as much as I was trying to prepare myself for it, I just couldn’t.
When we got there, they threw me on the floor of the lawn in front of the Alpha's house. I groaned because my body was aching all over. When they saw that the lights were turned off inside and there was no car in the lawn, they thought no one was around, so one of them took out their phones out and called the Alpha.
"He said he'll be here in a while and to keep her occupied." He said, a sinister smile on his face.
"So, slave, you really thought you could run away from us, huh?" One of the guards moved closer to my face as he asked. I was already shaking uncontrollably.
"No." I shook my head and begged them to spare me.
"Please, let me go. I didn't do anything wrong. If you let me go, I'll give you anything you want." I begged them, but one of them gave me a hard slap on the face.
"What could you possibly have that I could want?" He asked.
"The only thing that looks half good about you is your body, but I see nothing else that I could possibly want from you, and it doesn’t even look good enough." He sneered and grabbed my hair and raised me up.
"Die, you disgusting vermin." He threw me back to the floor.
I really needed to find my way out of here before they got back.
From my position on the floor, I looked back at the house, praying that Killian wouldn't come out of there or even remember what had happened when he woke up, because that would be very bad for me.
The Alpha finally drove into the garage, the rest of his family in the car with him. They all got out and stood in front of us.
"Alpha." They greeted the Alpha's family and forced me to kneel.
"What exactly is going on here? How did you find her and why are you all here?" He asked looking at me like I just killed his whole family.
"We were at our duty post when we heard a sound. We went to check and we found her there trying to escape, so we chased after her and caught her and dragged her here." They told him and he nodded in approval.
"That's good. Well done." He said sounding pleased as he got closer to me and my heart started to pound faster.
"Did you really think you could run away from us?" He cackled, but stopped when he remembered something.
"But Killian is supposed to be at home. Where is he? Didn't you see him?" He asked the guards and they shook their heads. I looked away guilt settling in my stomach.
"What did you do with my son?" He growled as he noticed the change in my demeanor. I didn't answer him and kept my gaze on the ground. He came close to my face and asked again, this time grabbing a fist full of my hair.
By this time, his mate, the Luna and his daughter had walked towards the house looking for Killian when I heard them scream. This got everyone's attention and Alpha Harley quickly let go of my hair turning his attention towards the house. I turned around and my fears were confirmed.
Killian had gotten up from where he had been and was staggering towards us all bruised and bleeding from the bite marks all over his body. I closed my eyes, because I knew what was going to happen. The end for me had finally come.
Alpha Harley growled at the sight of his son and Luna Dianne and his sister both rushed towards him to help him. They supported him as he limped towards us.
"What happened to you?" Alpha Harley asked, going close to Killian.
"She did this. The witch. I didn't do anything wrong to her and she just attacked me out of nowhere, because she was trying to escape and I wanted to stop her." He lied as he pointed at me. My head snapped up as I gasped and stared at him in disbelief.
What the hell?
Why was he lying?
"I was feeling hungry so I went downstairs to get something to eat. The chef had already gone home, so I went down to the basement to ask her to prepare me some food and she blatantly refused and started insulting me. She said she wasn't my slave and that I should go and get it myself." He lied and I gasped. I was shocked that Killian could tell such a lie to cover up his evil deeds.
"Just as I was about to drag her, so I could force her to do it, she attacked me. She caught me off guard and broke a flower vase on my head and biting me all over before running away." His mother and sister were making a fuss looking all over him, Luna Dianne crying.
"That's a lie." I screamed. "That's not true. He came to my room with the intention of raping me, and when he let his guard down, I attacked him and ran away."
"That's a lie. Why would I want to rape a disgusting slave like you, when I could get any girl I wanted in this pack?"
My thoughts exactly.
I looked at the Alpha to see him looking at Killian. The look in his eyes made me know that he knew his son was lying.
"Alpha, you know he's lying. I wouldn't just attack him for no reason." I moved closer to him and begged him. By this time the crowd that had come to watch had increased in number. They all watched me with anger burning in their eyes, all wanting me to be punished. They were all sadists that would gladly watch me burn to death.
"Be quiet. Why would my son, who could never even hurt a fly, do that to you?" The Luna asked leaving Killian and moving closer to me. I ignored her and continued to beg the Alpha. She was an annoying b***h.
I saw the conviction in his eyes as he looked at me. He was determined to punish me no matter what. He knew deep down that I was innocent but he still wanted to punish me because he was a wicked man.
I cried as I crawled closer to him, trying to grab a hold of his leg when he kicked me in the face. I was scared. I knew very well what they could do to me. That could kill me and no one, absolutely no one would question them about it.
This made me think about my parents. I cried as I thought about the fact that if they were here, all these wouldn't be happening to me. My father had loved me so much and he would have protected me by any means possible. But now, I was being punished for a crime he didn't even commit. I cried as I thought about my mother. She had suffered so much before her death. The people she had once called her family turned their back on her and watched her die, and for a reason that wasn't even her fault. They hadn't even buried her well for crying out loud.
“Take her to dungeons. I will personally take care of her.” The Alpha said and the cheers that erupted around would have had one wondering if a holiday had been announced
I cried harder, wondering when I'd be able to get out of here. I was forcefully dragged, slapped, pulled towards the dungeon and no matter how much I screamed, kicked, cried or begged, no one seemed to care.
I hated Killian so much. I felt like reaching deep down into his throat and using his intestines to wrap around his neck so I could suffocate him to death. The Luna and his sister were no better. They looked for any chance to make my life harder while I was working. I always tried my best to ignore them, but it seemed they just took joy in watching me suffer.
And there was the Alpha, he was going to die a special death. I was sure of it. Evil people like him didn't go scot-free. Thee only problem was I wondered when they would finally receive their punishment.
Was it until I died and couldn't watch it happen?
The dungeon smelled of human waste products and as I was thrown into the darkness, All I could think about right then, was how I could be free from this hell that had become my life.
