My heart was racing as I quickly shut the door to Aryanna’s room behind me, making sure she was safe inside. I knew I shouldn't have brought her here. I knew him seeing her would go wrong, I had no idea why I had still hoped for something different.
Aryanna looked so much like Ian's late mate, Aurora, and I knew that could be a trigger for Ian.
I was beating myself up, wondering what I was thinking bringing her here in the first place as I made my way back to the dining area, perking my ears listening for any signs that Ian had begun tearing down the house.
