The conversation around me faded to a background noise as I sliced the vegetables in front of me, my mind wandered back to the conversation I had with the Beta a couple of days back and his words echoed in my mind, reminding me of my current situation within the house.
I was still confused about everything but a part of me couldn’t help but feel a sense of sadness for the Alpha and his lost mate.
