Bullied
"Look at her, she is so ugly her mother denied her when she was born." everyone laughed.
Lea was used with harassment and insults. This was her everyday life, she just did not understand what had she done to these people to treat her this way. It was annoying because she was sure they were trying to fill some void in themselves, and they were using her as some punching bag.
We cannot choose who we are and where we are from. Honestly to her, they seemed to be abused kids, or their parents demand too much from them, the only way they could find some relief was to bully others.
She did not say anything to refute their insults, she walked with her head down across the school hall. She knew this was the beginning. It was no use to answer them because they will just resort to violence.
Lea knew she should stand up to them but she was lazy to do so. She let them be. She was no coward, she just found them useless pricks and stupid to be even behaving this way.
"You should just go and hang yourself, no one will care. Everyone will be so happy you're gone, no one will even notice."
Snickered her peers, having fun on her misery. Sometimes people say words or things without thinking.
What if she listened to their words and killed herself? Would that make them happy?
Funny enough, they would still blame her for being weak and a coward. She detested these kinds of people. Sadly, some people do resort to committing suicide because they cannot stand being bullied.
She opened her locker but as luck was not on her side today, red smelly oozing goo spilt all over her. She stood there shell-shocked, laughter and taunting words were heard. This was by far the worst thing that has happened to her, but still, she kept her cool.
"b***h, you deserve it", "s**t, you got it coming", they kept on calling her names.
She wondered, do they even know the meaning of the words they were calling her. She was no f*****g female dog and she did have multiple partners, however, these people insist on calling her these names. Lea sighed in annoyance.
"It goes to show how little you matter, just like thrown up goods. You are trash, you and that goo belong together."
Lea's heart broke, she felt like crying but she knew it will just make things worse. Though she knew these words were not true but they still hurt her.
Why do I keep quiet again?
She was being a coward if she was being honest to herself, but as it may, she still did not defend herself.
She started walking to the girl's restroom, trailing after her, was the red goo. She felt like walking the walk of shame, all eyes were on her and she was wet like a new-hatched chick. The colour of the goo did not help either, it was like she came back from murdering the whole f*****g town.
Even though Lea was used to the name-calling and belittling, it still hurt badly when they did or said harmful things against her. Luckily Lea knew that these things happen to her all the time, she came prepared. She had extra clothes in her backpack, she was praying that the clothes were not damaged.
When she got to the restroom or the toilets some may call it, she cleaned herself in there. She went into the stall and changed her clothes. When she got out of the toilets and walking back to the hall, the bell had already rung and she was late for the class.
She was rushing not paying attention when she trashed against someone. When she looked up, she froze. Oh no, this was not her day. It's not like he was a bully or unkind to her but he still was the most feared in school.
He was looking at her strangely, "What is the problem?" he asked with a smooth husky voice.
"Sorry," she squeaked out. Lea was nervous and scared. She looked around but she saw the hallway was empty. Is this a prank?
"It's fine, what's wrong, what happened to you?" he asked again, he was stern this time or more like demanding an answer.
"I just had an accident nothing new there, you don't have to worry yourself" answered Lea, she was still looking around.
She was sure that all the kids in school would come out and make fun of her. She was confused as to why he looked at her almost like he cared.
"What kind of accident?" again he was demanding.
"Oh, you know the usual. They put a present inside my locker and I get embarrassed, nothing new there. The story of my life." Lea said, he growled.
What was his problem? Did he just growl at her? This confused Lea, perhaps she was hearing things.
"From now on, you tell me everything they do to you. I mean everything Lea. If you do not tell me and, hear it from someone else. I will punish you." he then left her there standing, he looked angry.
Why was he angry and why did he care? This was rather confusing for Lea. To her understanding, he never converses with anyone besides his crew.
She will make sure to tell him everything, it was enough the others were bullying her. She certainly didn't need any more bullies. She went to class, and of course, she was late. The teacher did not say anything. Which was the first and no one paid attention to HER, the first again.
More confusion for her. She was wondering if everyone was scheming behind her back. Were "THEY" about to do the most humiliating thing to her and make sure she never shows her beautiful face there again?
She was always on alert here and didn't want to cause any trouble for herself. Today started bad and it was getting weirder as it went on. However, she had no way of telling why things were this way. Life was very unkind sometimes and people had no choice but to adapt.
