Silence fills her dark room, yet Eve’s eyes snap open to look around her. Chills run down the length of her body as she pulls the covers up to her chin. What is going on? It’s that same feeling as though she is being watched. Her eyes wander to the dark corner furthest from her, as usual. There is nothing there, even after she turns the bedside lamp on.
