"Why do you suddenly want to go with them to Denver? I thought you want to film a drama? Besides that, you still have classes at your university." Manager Lu reminded Hyeon.
Hyeon pouted. "But Conner-hyung and Waze-hyung are both going to Denver to play and relax. I want to go too. I don't want to film a drama anymore and like Waze-hyung, I can also attend class online remotely, just like what we're doing during our concert tours." He reasoned out.
Manager Lu sighed and shook his head. This young master... really. He looked at Hyeon helplessly. "Go talk to your parents first and your hyung and see what they think about your plan. If they agree I'll also book you a ticket, that is, if Conner agrees with you coming with them to Denver as well." He reminded Hyeon instead. Good thing that they were just only still talking about planning to choose a film script for Hyeon and not yet confirm it with the production team, otherwise they would be in trouble.
Hyeon clapped hos hands happily and looked at Conner. "Conner-hyung, can I also go with you on your vacation? I haven't been to Denver yet." He asked coquettishly.
Conner nodded with an amused smile. "Of course. As long as your family is okay with it, then there's no problem."
"Yes!" Hyeon clapped his hands happily once again. Already thinking what he would need to bring on his vacation trip with with his other group members.
This was a different trip compared to going abroad for work, since this time, they don't have to always be busy and in a hurry as if they where running after the time like that white rabbit who always complained about being late, from the children's book he read before. This time, they would go abroad to relax and have fun.
While Hyeon was already imagining a fun filled vacation, Conner looked over at their oldest member and leader - Lyon.
"What about you, Lyon-hyung, do you also want to come with us for a vacation?" Conner asked him, inviting Lyon to join them for a vacation trip.
Lyon shook his head with a smile. "Since I already have a plan for the next few weeks, I plan to follow them up. Maybe after I'm done with those commitments, I can follow after you guys later." He told them.
Conner nodded in understanding. "Yeah. Once you decide to follow us to Denver, let me know so we can pick you up at the airport. My home is almost an hour away from the airport, so it'll be more comfortable for your travel if I pick you up with a car than riding a public transportation." He reminded Lyon.
Lyon nodded. "I'll take note of that and tell you guys about it."
"Ah, it's so great hearing you all planning about your vacations. I wish I could go on one as well." Manager Lu said with a sigh.
"Why can't you? You can go with us if you want, Manager Lu." Waze told their manager.
Manager Lu sighed again. "Us Managers always needs to work at the office as well, besides accompanying the artistes we're handling. That means, besides accompanying Lyon on his upcoming schedule, I also have some paperworks to do at the office and see if the President or CEO has anything for me to do. If Lyon is done with his work and nothing would come up later on, maybe I can ask for a vacation as well, but we'll see." He told them.
The group nodded in understanding.
When their group became popular locally and internationally the moment they debuted as an idol group, Manager Lu became their exclusive manager. Besides Manager Lu, each of the members also have their own assistants and bodyguards. And instead of nanny car or a van for them to use whenever there was a group activity and guestings, they were provided with a fully furnished opaque luxury (tour) bus that has soft couches and dining table inside, including the personal refrigerator, mini kitchen, flat-screen television, pantry that was full of foods and snacks and various drinks, game consoles, two bathroom (1 for showering and 1 for doing other business), and sleeping quarters at the very back. It was tinted and fully air-conditioned.
When they have to go overseas for concerts or fan meeting and fan signing events, they were also using the company's private plane that had the same amenities like their group's luxury (tour) bus.
Even if it was just a normal schedule for them and not a concert or tour, their official vehicle was the luxury (tour) bus with all the amenities for their comfort. It was much better than a van or nanny car.
As one of the company's popular money maker since they debuted, they were treated like precious Princes.
Conner and the others were appreciative and thankful to their company since they were really looked after, but that didn't give them a bloated ego or an entitled attitude. They kept their feet on the ground despite all the success and privileges they got thru their hard work.
But it seems they were wrong....
Since not all of them remained humble without an ego. Because if they all didn't felt so privileged with an inflated ego, then those scandals wouldn't have happened. Maybe their former members thought that they were invincible and that they could get away with everything.
Boy were they wrong.
Unlike Conner and Hyeon who grew up like a rich young master in their family, or Waze and Lyon who was from a somewhat well-to-do family with professional backgrounds and hard workers; the former members had had the not so pleasant family background weren't as lucky like them in regards of having a caring and supportive family, and that was why music and singing became their only escape from their unpleasant reality.
The former members also came from different types of poverty and hardships. Some of them came from an unplanned pregnancy that was not liked by either of their parents, coming from a broken family, an abandoned child or a child being abused and bullied while they were still young. That obviously damaged them emotionally during their growth period.
That was why when the former members tasted fame and fortune, it all went to their heads. They felt powerful, capable and independent. A master of their own fate. But they chose their own paths the wrong way. One got impregnated someone, one did drugs, one was caught on a s*x scandal, while one beat someone almost to death. How they grew up and how they were treated when they were young reflected from their actions because it was probably the earlier event that happened to them that imprinted most in their minds as children.
Everyone would feel heartache for the children they had been, but their adult version couldn't be easily forgiven for what they did.
Sometimes fate was cruel.
But it all still defends on how a person would decide for the choices he made for himself.
