Camelia's POV
“Everyone should stay in position and guard the pack! We mustn't leave this spot till Alpha Carlos returns,” I heard the head of the guards telling the others and they all stood like statues at the front gate, watching and guarding the pack. I had been staying indoors with Serenity ever since my mates left. I was instructed not to come outside which was why I didn't attempt to leave the room. Taking a last look at the guards through the window, I let out a faint sigh and settled on the chair, watching as Serenity crawled towards me.
“Do you think we're safe here?” I turned to face Serenity when she suddenly inquired. Even though I knew she was afraid, her inquiry caused me to worry and become concerned. I gave her soft hair a quick stroke and then leaned in to plant a kiss
