THALIA'S POV. The next few days were a bit awkward. I tried my best to avoid Tristan as much as I could, and he made it very easy to do so as he seemed not to want me around either. I normally waited for breakfast hours to be over before heading downstairs to eat to make sure I didn't run into him. Sometimes I got Edith to bring something up for me so there was no need for me to leave the room altogether. Until last night. I woke up extremely thirsty in the middle of the night and reached for the jug of water that normally sat on the table beside my bed — courtesy of Edith — only to realize that it was empty. So I told myself to stop being a coward, got up from my bed, and gathered up the courage to leave the safety of my room. As I walked down the hallway, I noticed Tristan's door a
