It didn’t surprise me that Darion had a girlfriend. What I had not expected was for her to be so up in my face about it. Of course, she had no idea how I felt about her man and I was more than just disappointed. Darion looked so extremely uncomfortable and yet, I didn’t feel the need to help him out.
“I brought you some pie,” his girlfriend said, and I rolled my eyes. I didn’t miss the way Darion’s face lit up and the way he smiled.
“Oh, thank you so much,” he gushed out and I cringed. These two must really love each other.
“Any time, now you two boys play nice,” she said as she turned towards the door to leave and I breathed out a small sigh of relief. At least she wouldn’t be staying. “And when your friend goes home, I’ll be waiting for you,” she added before she kisses him
