#14 move in with me

I just stood there. Roger was just about falling out of his chair with laughter as I almost told the entire office how incredible she was in bed. I did however manage to tell the entire office I loved Emma and she actually did tell me she loved me. why am I standing here like an i***t. Emma told me she loved me! I rushed out of the office to see Emma at the elevator stepping in with all of her things. what the hell? " Emma! wait!" I made it just in time to stop the doors from closing. rushing inside I grabbed her close to me and kissed her. this kiss was so different. " I do love you! where are you going?"

" well the entire office just heard you say you loved me. I kind of thought.." I pulled her to me again my hand in her hair kissing her with so much need for her to feel how much I really love her. I needed her. I needed her more than I needed air.

" don't you dare leave me now. I have never told anyone I love them before! I want everything about you. I want the bubble gum pink nail polish and the glitter in my hair making me look like a stripper attacked my head! " she was laughing in my arms. " I want the blue eye shadow and the princess parties and everything about you. I want all of this because I absolutely 100 percent am in love with you and that little girl. I'm not sure how but you both have become the only good part of my day and when I'm not with you I am sitting thinking about both of you. I can't get you off my mind. especially that thing you do with your tongue."

she was laughing again and leaning into my hands cupping her face. " Josh, I love you too. this morning when we were... you know, it felt different. it felt more emotional."

" because for the first time in my life I realized I was making love to someone. I was giving something to you that I have never given to any other woman and I wanted you to feel the way I love you." I leaned my forehead on hers and the elevator doors all of a sudden dinged open showing us on display to the entire lobby. i reached over closing the doors again and pushed the top floor again using my access card the elevator started moving up. " say something Emma. "

" so where do we go from here?" Emma was right what do we want. where do we go from here? I breathed in and let out a sigh.

" both of you move in with me." her eyes grew huge and the elevator doors opened once again. I grabbed her hand and led her out onto the office floor.

" are you serious? are you insane?" she looked at me like I was growing a second head.

" I'm not insane and I have never wanted to move in with anyone ever before. if you don't want to move in there then let's look for a place." I was serious. I wanted them both every day. " we let your friend take over your apartment we set it up where joseline gets it when she turns eighteen. it seems only right because it was from Luke and he wanted her taken care of. and you both move in with me. let me wake up to both my girls every morning and hold you every night. I want this. I want us." she looked over at Roger in the office sitting there in the same chair. I cupped her face forcing her to look me in the eyes. " say something Emma. anything! for God's sake tell me to f**k off!"

" ok."

" wait, did you say yes? you said yes!" I don't think I could be any happier than I was right then in that moment. she said yes and her and joseline are going to be moving in and I won't miss another day with them. I realized they had become my home in Avery short period of time and I could never live without them again. " so I can hire a company and come in and get things packed up today."

" hey hey calm down. I need to talk to Stephanie and joseline and you still need to meet my parents. " I could tell she was leaving something out. she grew quiet and distant all of a sudden.

" what's wrong?"

" I need to introduce you to Luke's family and the guys down at the fire house. they are still a huge part of mine and joselines life and if you are a part of that then it's important."

" ok" I was nervous. I knew Luke always had her first. her heart would always be a part of him and joseline would always look like him but competing constantly against a hero trying to be what he was is going to be hard.

she started to walk towards the file cabinets and handed me the files I needed for Roger. she looked me dead in the eyes and spoke the most amazing words. " I don't expect you to be Luke. I don't love you because you are just like him. I love you because you are you. you are completely different from him but you make me laugh and smile and you aren't afraid to embarrass yourself to make joseline happy. you go out of your way to show her how much you love her. I don't need you to run off I to a burning building to be a hero. to joseline you already are one. she needs that more than anything. I need that. you better get in there to Mr moore." I couldn't help it. something just took me over and I was filled with her arms and raw emotion and I slammed her into the cabinet as I crashed my lips on hers and didn't stop until we both needed air. " what was that for?"

" I love and respect you so much. I just needed to kiss you. I better get in there. we can talk with joseline together tonight." I walked away leaving her there to catch her breath. it was time to get this meeting under way. " Roger, thanks for waiting and laughing at my expense!" he let out a hardy laugh.

" Josh it was the best meeting I have had in years. you must really love that woman if you are willing to make such an ass of yourself in front of the entire staff. can't blame you. made a huge fool of myself once."

" and how did that turn out?"

" we have been married for over thirty years and three kids later we are still going strong. only woman I have ever met that can still keep me on my toes! so let's talk busines. "

I leaned back in my chair and threw my pen down on the desk. I was no longer interested in dismantling his company. " I'm just going to put it all on the table. I can assimilate your company like I usually do and take it apart one department at a time until it is nothing, or I can loan you the money and let you retain your business and build it back to its former glory. I have faith you can do it. I just no longer have any interest in taking your company apart."

" you mean you will let me keep my company and loan me the money until I can pay you back the loan? why"

" frankly, because I want to be a man both of those two deserve. I will never be a hero running into a building but I also can chose to not be the villain today." Mr moore sat back looking me straight into my eyes. he shook his head acknowledging my words. I coukd see him mulling it over and trying to see if he can really trust me or not. I waited for a while as he studied my every move.

" can I trust you to really do the right thing?" I brought my hand out to Roger and he shook it.

" I feel like this is going to be a beautiful start to a friendship."

" I think love has made you sappy my man!" Roger laughed.

" sir I believe you might be right." we both raised up out of our chairs and shook hands. for once I was building something instead of taking it apart and it felt good. the rest of the day at work was less eventful thank God. there was the call from HR about Emma working under me and us dating.

      sir this is a highly sensitive subject and we can't have her working under you it looks like you are giving her preferential treatment.

      well she is the best executive secretary I have ever had and me falling in love with her doesn't mean I'm going to let her go. make her a partner.

   don't tell her but I want her as my partner.

      this is high unusual  sir. I really don't recommend this at all.

      type up the contract and get it to me tomorrow. 

I hung up the phone and made my way to Emma. " Come on. let's grab joseline and head home."

" it's not time I just need to get this paperwork done then I can meet you there." that wasn't happening. last time she was here alone she was attacked. besides I just need her in my arms right now.

" last time you were here alone some asshole attacked you. come on. those papers can be done tomorrow. it's a light day tomorrow and I promise to leave you alone to work. " visions of her on my desk started popping in my head.

" I see that look and you have no intentions of leaving me alone! come on. I'm calling Stephanie and inviting her for dinner. I need to see what she thinks about taking over my place."

" have you decided what to do with my apartment?"

" well maybe we should just make it our home. on one condition. "

" what condition?"

" we actually make it ours. and no more white!"

" hey you said one condition!" I pulled her back to me kissing her deeply on the lips. " help me make it our home."
