For such a beautiful day, the parking lot outside the fenced-in dog park wasn’t very crowded. I was sure tomorrow, Saturday, would really be packed. But for now, there were only a handful of cars. A glance at the park itself, and I could see only a couple of people. I smiled. As much as Aldo loved playing with other dogs, I was glad there weren’t more. It would give both Aldo and myself a chance to get used to the place without being overwhelmed. I got out and stretched, then opened the back door so Aldo could jump down.
