The morning in the clearing next to the cliff road is full of white thick fog that makes it impossible to see the person next to you if there are no lit lanterns.
The envoy’s camp used all of their available lanterns to enhance the visibility in the small clearing or else some of them might walk in the wrong path and plunge down into the eternal darkness of the cliff’s edge.
Miyor realized that it is better to use the low visibility in the morning to act out his plan, as it will help a lot to deter the slavers, and it is because such thick fog does not affect the visibility of a powerful wild beast like the metallic hawk.
