Are You My Mate?

Chapter 11

  * The next morning he takes me home and I'm surprised to see my car there. He hands me the keys and then he kisses my cheek after he talks to his future Beta. "Good morning Luna" he says as he waves and I figure Dean had him to drop it off for me, since I left it at work. I smile and wave, then I stop when Dean punches his chest causing him to laugh. (I guess that's how they joke around) (Dean's jealousy is so cute)

He hugs me once more before I walk towards my house and I turn to look at him before I walk inside and he smiles and waves. (I can't believe my luck) The things that he did to me were weird, but they felt so good. I will try to relax better next time because he really likes it, and I, want so bad to make him proud of me as a mate. 

"You seem to be in a good mood," says Areta as I braid my hair. "You are too," "Well it's hard not to be, with seeing you so happy and being close to our mate," "I'm just worried about, how you know who will act," "I know and he wants me to go to his house tomorrow... no today!" "What am I going to do,?" "Do as I keep telling you, put her in her place and she will never question or offend you again," 

"But I don't want to make Dean upset," "He won't be upset, you saw how happy he was when you stood up for the girls in the pack," I smile as I remember. "Is there any other way, without angering her,?" "Probably not," "You've only ever been nice to her all of these years, but it's not enough for her to respect you," "I don't want her respect," "I just want us to be able to live comfortably, since we both care about the same person," 

"You will never get that from her," I don't say anything, because I can feel her hatred for Luna Karen and I don't want her to be upset with me too. (I know when to back down)

I finish getting ready then I head to work. I smile nervously and try to walk past Maggie and Nelson but she grabs one arm and he grabs the other. "You wouldn't be trying to sneak off without telling us what happened would you?" asks Maggie. "She was probably headed to my office to wait on me," says Nelson with a smirk. 

"Follow me to my office," I laugh nervously, as I think of what to tell them. I can't tell them what really happened but I also can't lie, they are my only real friends. I wished they didn't hate him, so that I can't tell them the truth. 

"We watched a movie" "Is that all you watched?" "What movie did you watch?" they ask as they stare at me. "We watched, The Luna Sings" "We watched another movie that he chose but I don't remember the name of it, it was kind of old" 

They look at each other. "Did he touch you?" asks Nelson. "We... kissed" "Anything else,?" asks Maggie. "Did he mate you?!" "That brat, did he mark you?!" she asks as she checks my neck and shoulders then she sniffs me. "She's still a virgin for now," says Nelson knowingly. Men wolves always seem to know these things which is why Dean wants me to smell like him. (Truthfully, I can't wait to smell like him, but the thought of him biting me frightens me) 

"We did some things, but we didn't mate Maggie," I assure as I fix my shirt. "You mean he did things to you," I avoid his eyes as I walk over to my desk and pick up a stapler. (For what I don't know) "Just be careful with him,'' "I promise I will," "If he stops being sweet to me, then I will leave him," I say to assure them, while hoping that all of their doubts toward him are just that. 

"We're here if you need us," ''Whether it's help getting rid of him, or getting sexy panties," says Maggie. with a little dance causing me to giggle, but Nelson shakes his head with a little smile. I know he's really worried about me, but I have to trust my mate. (I wish I knew what he knew, or maybe, it's best that I don't, at least not yet) 

As I work, I forget about the time and before I know it, it's closing time. "I'll close up with a few guys" says Nelson. "I'm fine, I can do it," I say as I notarize a few papers that came from Alpha Lawrence. "Nervous about facing your mother in law,?" he asks as he puts his hands on my shoulders. 

"I'm terrified," "I just now thought about it when I started to see her name on these papers," "Poor baby," "She has you traumatized," "Areta wants me to stand my ground and put her in her place, but I just want her to except me as Deans mate, without giving us problems," "I wish I could give you some advice sweetie,"

"I'll be fine, Dean thinks that she'll accept me, since she's been searching for his mate," "Although I'm sure she's been hoping it would turn out to be an Alphas daughter" "I don't want to make you even more nervous, but what will you do if she refuses to accept you?" "I guess, it's up to Dean, if he wants to keep me," "It's up to you and how much you will take,'' he says with a small pitying smile. 

"If he can't stand up for you against his mom, then he doesn't deserve you," "I'm convinced no one does," "Not even me" he jokes as he hugs me. I smile and enjoy his friendly hug. We finish up together as we always do and then he walks me to my car. 

"I'll be out tonight, but call me if you need me" he says as he opens my door. "Thank you" I say as I hug him, hoping that I won't need him. 

I go home to shower and to change then I head to his house. I just put on a cute flowy flowery summer dress. It isn't too short or tight and I paired it with wedges. A very cute presentable look and I always dress like this. Sometimes I feel like I need a makeover but I guess since he likes me, he likes my style.

I text him to let him know that I'm outside as I look at his house. I smile as he runs down the steps of his house with his own huge smile. He closes my door, before I can even touch it. "Don't act like you've never been here baby," He says as he leads me to the steps. 

"I know but I've never been to see just you" He pecks my lips and then he kisses me once more. "Come on, I have everything planned out," I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. "If you're to afraid I'll do it," says Areta.

 "No Areta don't ruin this for us," "Just give me a chance to win her over" "Fine, then I will have my turn," "Just don't be rude" "That all depends on her, I will match her energy,"

"Shhh, here she comes" I say as we walk past her, well we try to, but she stands in front of me. "Do you see what I'm talking about, she purposefully got in front of you," "Please not now, you don't even know if she's changed since she knows that we're mates with Dean,"
