*Ava's POV (3 months before having Emily) *
My first pregnancy was supposed to be a happy time. A time when me and Damon would rejoice and tell all our family and friends. Everyone needed us to have children since his sister lost her mate and had no interest in finding another one. From the day we were married we could not wait to have children. Our bliss did not last long. Soon after we married the threats started and the little visits from random hunters started happening. We knew we had to put our dreams on hold to deal with this problem at hand. I was still learning how to control my water abilities and with new threats on the horizon a child was just not something we could think about.
