Sia shouted once again "NO!".
Raiden looked at her expression of true terror, feeling that her arousal was engulfed by the strong scent of fear. He raised quickly, sitting on his calves giving her space to recover. Sia's flickering eyes were filling with unleashed tears, her breath shallow... Raiden scooped her in his embrace feeling guilty for the panicked posture. He didn't know how to mend her state.
" I would never hurt you Artemis!! Please, believe me!" the dragon whispered.
Raiden wasn't aware that she didn't fear him but herself, because the last time she let her feelings unrestricted she almost killed someone!!
It was nearly two years ago when her boyfriend took her on a date at the cinema. She never saw a movie on the big screen, and nowadays that is a luxury!! After the date, they went to her house. Her mother was working the late shift again so they decided to have a snack in the living room and chat about the movie. One thing led to another, and in no time, they were kissing. Maybe it was the relaxed evening or the way he made her feel, but she let her walls down and she kissed him passionately. The gurgling sound and the stiffness above her made Sia open her eyes and see that she was sucking the life out of him!! She abruptly stopped and called her mother for help. He was barely breathing, lying in a coma for over a month. Sia broke up with him the moment he stepped outside the hospital and never let herself feel love or lust. Her father tried to explain that she could show her how to suppress her powers in an intimate encounter, but she felt overwhelmed, ashamed, and guilty that she just shut off the possibility of it.
So, when Anwir's breath skimmed her n****e, and later Raiden kissed her, the feelings she was trying to evade for a long came back like a boomerang!
Freeze by fear, Sia didn't hear Raiden's pleas. Her heart hammered while her eyes started spilling rivers of tears.
"Please, please... Artemis..." the dragon shook Sia. He then saw the dagger in her hands, leaning the blade on his chest, a few inches above his heart, cutting there a rune, and said "By blood, I seal my oath to you: no harm by me or others...by hand, magic or weapon will lay onto your body, mind, and soul until the last breath I shall have!!!". He licked the bloodstained dagger and then kissed Sia. She whimpered still unaware of what was happening. The taste of his blood made her recollect so she blinked a few times, and then it hit her...
" No, nooo...what have you done, Raiden?! A blood oath?! Why??" Sia asked crying.
"You feared me and went into some state of shock. My oath isn't reversible so now you are stuck with me. Hopefully, I can gain your trust!" Raiden explained.
"You don't even know me!! If you hoped to get laid you could do anything else that isn't so permanent!?" Sia was screaming.
"If I wanted just s*x, Sia, I wouldn't do the oath. Do you think I'm so shallow?!" the dragon inquired quirking a brow.
"I...no, I don't think that. I just barely know you, and then you kiss me and touch me, and I'm a crazy, horny mess and... I can't think... " Sia was mumbling.
"I made you crazy and horny? Mmm, continue my precious," whispered Raiden.
"What?!
No, no this is seriously messed up!! You don't know in what danger you put yourself!! I can't have your life threatened because of a blood oath!! What were you thinking??" she said.
"Well, now is done!
And don't estimate the strength of a pureblood dragon guardian!!" he said kissing her again.
She crawled away from his lap, took a deep breath, and explained "The last time I let myself feel...it ended with my boyfriend in a coma. So, please stop kissing me. I can't control myself any longer! Please!".
"Was he human?" asked Raiden.
" Yes, why?" she asked.
"Because darling, I'm not!! Only humans get... dazed. Supernaturals don't send each other to the hospital with a kiss!" he responded chuckling.
Her face, crimson-tinted, was hidden in her hands.
"Sia, my intentions are a little bit selfish but still pure. I know your bloodline, but I'll never pressure you to do anything that you don't want! In fact, my fingers, lips, and body will not touch you until you beg me to do it!!
Do you accept now my oath?" he asked sternly.
"Mm-hmm..." she responded blushing.
"Oh, no mumbling. You should say it out loud!!".
" Yes, I accept it! Help us, God, with the upcoming!" Sia replied.
Raiden bends down grinning, locking her golden eyes on hers, lips slightly parted... Sia's eyes darted from his lips, which were almost touching hers, to his glowing eyes...
"You are so beautiful!" she whispered.
"I think that no one ever called me that! Thank you!" he replied still not moving at all.
She blinked, recollecting her thoughts that were hazed, and kissed him on the cheek before standing and going to sit on the armchair nearby.
A timbre laugh left Raiden's mouth.
"You are truly unique!" he declared winking at her.
"Oh, shut up!" Sia said rolling her eyes.
"So... what's going on here?!" asked Anwir entering from the balcony.
He eyed the two and added, " Did you kids play nice and f**k senseless, or this blood here isn't from playing rough?!".
" Nah, this is just from kissing Sleeping Beauty!" said the dragon covering the rune representing the blood oath.
The Phoenix chuckled kneeling beside Sia.
"So, you beat the s**t out of scales here because he kissed you?! Was it so bad?" Anwir teased.
"Oj, chicken nugget!! No one ever left my bed unsatisfied!!" Raiden said, raging.
" Perhaps I joined too soon, and in doing so, I stole your thunder??" the Phoenix was taunting the dragon.
"For that, firecracker, you should have one, to begin with!!" responded Raiden visibly annoyed by the taunting.
"Ok, ok, spitfire... stop fuming, or the fire alarm will go nuts!!" Anwir pointed at the ceiling sprinklers.
Sia snorted at the nicknaming the two were doing.
"Something funny??" asked the two men bickering.
"I think we need to elucidate this petit girl who are the dominant species..." said Anwir striding towards Sia.
"Mmm... are you thinking of a menage a troi?" Raiden's lips curved in a sly smile.
She bursts out laughing while attempting to give a reply.
In all her life she never let herself laugh so freely, enjoying the moment without worries.
The newly made bond allowed the Dragon to experience the fluctuation of her emotions, so he stopped Anwir from admiring the girl.
The two men halted exchanging glances.
She was beautiful and fierce, a deadly combination!
Wiping the tears that were free-falling on her cheeks, she grinned and exclaimed
"Thanks for the show guys!!".
" Oh no, no... precious...we were serious!!" affirmed Anwir.
Sia didn't have time to respond, because a loud explosion was heard from the nearest gardens, followed by a scream.
"Come on! What now?! Give me a break!!" murmured Sia running towards the balcony.
A loud pitched noise, like a fork scratching on a plate, made all heads look above them.
Tar-black wings fluttered, revealing one of the many Dark Mother's children.
The demon had a unique, charcoal complexion with abundant, dark green awful scars all over him.
It was circling, diving into the garden where a young boy was bawling and shaking hysterically.
Raiden felt Sia's determination to help once again, so he scoped her in his embrace, whispering, "I'll give you a lift!".
Without words, the three jumped from the balcony landing two feet near the boy.
" Why no one is helping?" asked Anwir.
"Fear! Blocked by irrational fear!" responded the dragon scenting.
"Great! And why we aren't affected?" retorted Sia.
"Don't give a f**k!! Let's send this motherfucker back to hell!!" yelled the Phoenix.
Sia knew that if she brought out her scythe, the demon would be forsaken instantly, but it was too soon to reveal her true self.
The two men behind her were very powerful, but it appeared that even they had trouble preventing the creature from injuring the boy.
Raiden was struggling to avoid the demon's tail stabbing him.
Sia, seeking a weapon, saw the shadowy presence creeping upon the demon's leg, blending into it.
Another pawn for the twisted puppeteer. Sia had a sudden idea.
"You, boy!! What are you?" she asked.
The boy just gaped.
"Jesus Christ!! What bloodline?!" she repeated.
"I I...I'm a dhampir, miss!" he spoke shaking like a leaf. Her suspicions were on the right side; the shadow was lurking at the half-blood from Eva's. But why? And what is needed from them?
Shooting her head and leaving the thoughts for later, she shouted to the Phoenix, pointing to her room, "I left my blade near the couch! Under the cushions, there is another one, the same as that!!".
Anwir nodded running to retrieve her twin blades.
" Raiden, can you protect the dhampir here?" Sia inquired.
"I can, to some extent. This flying turd is stronger than it looks!!" he responded mid kicking the demon in the abdomen.
She was reaching the boy when the shadow lurking from the nightmare released a weird sound.
Anwir dropped and covered his ears, the blades rolling at his feet. The sound halts all the commotion around.
Sia sprinted and took the blades combining them in one, exclaiming:
"Shitface!! Let's add some slices to that skin of yours!!".
The creature turned and smirked, showing a mouth full of sharp teeth.
"Nice fangs! But you should brush your teeth because the smell of your breath will kill me before you have the chance to draw some blood from me!!!".
Unfazed at the provocation, the demon leaped into the air and, faster than a blink, dived back, screeching.
She exhaled, clutching fiercely the blades, and waited.
