“IT’S BEEN THREE DAYS already, guys,” Adam told them with a frown. “Look, I’m much better. No one’s come after us so far, so we’re good. I think it’s time to go,” he continued. “I want to get out of this God-forsaken country, and the sooner, the better. I’ve had enough.”
The man was sick of lying around all the time without having anything to do. He needed a change, but most of all, he needed to be on the other side of the ocean. He wanted to go home.
Nick glanced at Ryan to see what he thought about Adam’s sudden outburst. He, for one, was worried. He understood that Adam’s brush with death and the following several weeks, during which Adam had been bedridden, had had a severe impact on their friend.
