CHAPTER 15Like in all situations such as this, Greg's mind worked faster than his physical responses. He saw the grenade in the air and anticipated the explosion. He also thought that this was the end for nobody could survive such a detonation. He gulped and stared around. It was not his imagination! The grenade had stopped mid-air and was hovering like a balloon. He turned, saw Shontel and Lilad's terrified looks but it was Nedda who affected him most. She had an intense expression on her face as she reached out and cuffed Colton behind the ear. He sank to the ground and lay unconscious on the floor.
Meanwhile, the grenade still hovered in the air.
"I don't know how long I can hold it," Zarxin II said.
"But how?" It was Shontel who spoke.
"That grenade is now encased in a forcefield.
