CHAPTER 11Lilad commented that their new land was similar in any ways to Cavair in that they were at the base of volcano sealed under a glass dome, through which the sun shone. It also kept in the breathable air and the poisonous outer atmosphere out. He also predicted that just after three p.m. the whole countryside would become shaded.
"That's when the sun outside moves beyond the volcano opening. Don't worry; we will still have five or six hours of daylight before it becomes dark. The morning will be the same with direct sunlight arriving about ten o'clock." Lilad glanced around. "This looks to be smaller than at home. I think it will only be a few kilometres to the other side."
