Chapter 4

As I was sleeping good, I rolled over I felt emptiness. I felt all around the bed and no one was next to me. I opened my eyes and Dom was gone. I sat up for a moment and saw a note. I looked at the note.

"Elena, went to the shop to finish Brian's car. You were sleeping peacefully and beautiful, I didn't want to wake you up. Mia washed your clothes for you. They are on the dresser. I'll see you later.

Love Dom."

Ugh, I thought. I laid there not wanting to move. I was still tired. And being lazy, since I have nothing to do. I quit my job, I have no money coming in. I'm gonna lose my house. I just don't know what to do. I laid there for about a few moments until someone knocked on the door.

"Elena, its Mia. Are you awake?" Mia asked as knocking.

I took a deep breathe. "Yes, come in." I called out.

Mia came in the room. She came to Dom's side of the bed and sat down.

"What's up?" I asked her still laying on my stomach with my eyes closed.

"Can I ask you something?" She asked me.

"Sure." I said as I opened my eyes to look at her.

"Well your brother asked me out last night."

When she said that I sat up quick.

"Shut up. Shut the f**k up. No he didn't."

"He did."

"So that's why Vince was so f*****g pissed off where he had to throw the popcorn bowl and hit me, making me spill my beer. f*****g jackass." I said.

"Yea Vince was trying to make some more while Brian and I were doing the dishes when he had asked me out. I had asked Vince what that this one place that me and him had went." Mia said then looked away. "Vince has always had a crush on me. We tried once but it didn't work out."

"Seriously why would you even with Vince. He's not all that great. He's a dick." I said.

"Yea he is." Mia said at first. "But he was trying to be sweet at least to me. But I kinda like your brother. He sticks up with Dom when he's being a jackass. I don't see how you seal with him."

"I don't he's pretty calm with him. Other than you piss him off. But the angry s*x is great." I said laughing.

"Oh god." Mia said getting up.

"Don't you work today at the café?"

"Yea,"

"You want me to drive you there. I don't mind dropping you off. I can pick you up later."

"Sure," Mia told me.

I jumped out of bed and got dressed. I had grabbed all my stuff and headed towards my car with Mia behind me. We got in the car, I rolled the windows down and I turned on the radio. I had drove to the café as quick as can be and dropped her off.

"Actually if you see your brother, tell him to pick me up here around 6 then we can go on our date from there." Mia said.

"Gotcha. Ima head to the shop anyways." I told her.

Mia nodded and I waved at her. I speed off towards towards the garage. When I got there the car that Brian and them were working on was gone. Letty and Leon were bull shitting around on the bench drinking a soda when I pulled up.

"Aye its our sister from another mother." Leon said being a funny smartass.

I smiled and shook my head. I got out of the car and walked up to them.

"Where's Dom and Brian?" I asked.

"Well about a few hours ago we got the car going so Dom and Brian took off. Haven't been back yet." Letty said.

While were talking, Vince came out of the office area. He looked at me then walked away. Okay rude much. But I had got up and stopped him.

"Vincent, you owe me an apology for hitting me with the popcorn bowl and making me spill my beer on me." I called him out.

He stared at me for a moment, then started walking away. I ran over there to him with Letty and Leon behind me.

"Excuse you, I said you owe me an apology." I said as I put my hand on his chest.

"Look I told Dom I was sorry. But I ain't telling you." He said as he pushed my hand away.

"The hell you are." I said.

"Well if it weren't for your buster of a brother asking my girl out then it wouldn't have happened. Would it?" Vince had said.

"Excuse me. What does that have to do with me. You hit me and spilled beer on me. I'm a woman for god sakes." I said. "I see why Mia has nothing to deal with your f*****g stupid ass." I said as I walked away.

"What?" He asked. "What did you just say to me."

"You heard me, your to controlling, too bossy. Got something always up your f*****g ass. Stop being a f*****g d**k and man the f**k up." I had told him.

He had balled up his hands like he was about to f*****g hit me or something. Leon had stepped in the middle of me and him while Letty grabbed my arm.

"What you gonna hit me f*****g do it then Vince. Your just mad that I'm speaking the f*****g truth." I told him.

After I said that he went to swing at me. But someone had stopped his hand. When we looked it was Dom. Pissed off.

"I tell you to tell her your sorry and you want to swing on her. What the f**k is wrong with you. Go f*****g cool the f**k off."

"She f*****g started it." Vince said as he pointed at me.

"I heard her. And she's f*****g right. And I wouldn't let anyone like you date my sister in the first place so get before I f*****g do something."

"Seriously? Ever since Elena and Brian came into our lives, you've changed. Your not the Dom that I know and grew up with." Vince had said.

"You know my rules. Don't mess with my family, don't mess with my car, and don't mess with my girl." Dom had told him when he got in his face. "I don't care who I am dating, you treat them as family. Now go walk off." Dom told him one more time.

Damn Dom had rules. That was hot.

1.) Don't mess with his family.

2.) Don't mess with his car.

3.) Don't mess with his girl.

After Dom had said that, Brian came behind me. He put his hand on my shoulder. Vince looked from Dom, to Brian, then to me before he walked away.

"Brian can I talk to you outside?" I had said as I turned around to look at Brian.

"Yea sure." Brian said as he put his arm around my shoulder as we walked outside.

Once we got outside by his car, I stared at it. I was nice and I liked it.

"Nice car." I said.

"Thanks. So what's up?"

"Well Mia had asked me to give you a message. Since I dropped her off at work she wants you to pick her up at 6." I had said.

"Oh, we had told you about our date huh?" He asked me.

I nodded. "Yea," I said.

"Well before I pick her up, I got a raid to do. We're picking up Johnny." He told me.

"For real?" I asked.

"Yes, after I told my boss that he tried to kill you in the crush from him hitting you then running off to what had happened in that garage with Harry. When he found out I was tailing him after you, he wasn't happy at first but understood."

I nodded then hugged him. "Just be careful please."

"I will, just stay with Dom."

I nodded again against his shoulder. I let go when I heard Dom walking up behind us.

"Hey is everything okay?" He asked.

"Yea, I was just talking to Brian about his date." I had said.

"But I have to go to work since I had missed out a few days but I'll be back for that date though." Brian had said. "Can you keep a close eye on her. I hate leaving her behind alone when I leave."

"Yea I got my girl." Dom said as he wrapped his arm around my waist and kissed my head.

I smiled when he done that. Brian smiled as well and touched my arm.

"I'm glad to see that smile again." Brian said.

"Shut up. Go before your boss gets more pissed off." I said as I pouched his arm.

We all chuckled at that. Brian got in his car and drove off to where he had to go. As for Dom and I, well we walked back to the garage. He had a few things to fix and take car of. We walked up to the office and he had grabbed a bag. He handed me $6k as I sat on the desk.

"What's this?" I asked.

"From the job."

"You said a couple grand not 6 grand." I brought up.

"I know. I'm giving you my share as well. I don't need the money. You do. I already gave the rest of them their $3k." Dom said.

"Dom, I-" I didn't know what to say. I do need the money though. I'm so close to paying off the house and this might work. I only needed a couple grand to pay it off. "You might have helped me save my house." I told him as I put the money back in the bag and wrapped my arms around his neck. "Thank you." I said as I kissed him.

"Anything for my girl." He said after he kissed me.

After he kissed me he held me in his arms. For a few minutes until Letty came up the stairs.

"Hey Dom. Since we're done with all the cars, how about we all go to race wars. I got inch for speed right now." Letty said.

Dom let go of me and looked at me for a moment. I nodded my head and got off the desk. I zipped up the bag and brought it with me.

Each one of us got into a car and drove to race wars. Each of us look 3 turns of racing. We won all of our races. Jesse was the only on not racing. He didn't really do all that type of s**t. By the time Brian and Mia found us there, Brian done a few races as well.

I sat down having a few drinks with the guys when I saw Brian walking over to the trailer when Jesse came out of it. Brian was following him to the line where Leon was pulling up his car. I sat there watched the race when I saw he lost the race. Then Leon came running over saying we got a problem.

"We got a problem?" Leon said.

"What?" Dom asked.

"We got a problem with Jesse. He just raced slips with Trans." Leon said as a car came racing down to us.

"Ah shit." Dom said.

"Wait Johnny, the same one that tried to kill me, Johnny." I said as I got up.

"Leon, watch her." Dom told Leon to watch me.

When the car pulled up to us, Johnny got out of the car.

"Where's he going with my car?" Johnny asked looking at both me and Dom.

"Umm, he's taking it to the car wash." Dom told him.

"You better get my car." Johnny said.

"Look her, this isn't your block. So don't be coming at me like that." Dom told him.

"Squad came into my home. Disrespected my family. One of y'all called me out. I bet it was you." Johnny said to Dom.

Dom looked at him for a second then pouched him. He was hitting him hard. Everyone was coming around us even security. Than one of Johnny's men came over and Letty pouched him. The crowd went crazy.

"Dom! Dom!" I yelled to him. "Dom stop it!"

Vincent went over there to try to break it up. Pulled one of the security guards off of Dom and Johnny. Helped one of the guards get Dom off of Johnny. I went over there to get in Dom's face to calm him down.

"I didn't call anyone out. And you ever pull s**t like that again expressly with my girl. Almost killing her, you'd be next." Dom yelled at Johnny as I pushed him back with Vincent pulling on him.

We got him into the trailer to cool him off. When Mia came running in. She started going off on him.

Then something clicked in his head.

"We gotta go. The job." Dom said to the others. He looked at me. "You coming Elena?" He asked me.

I looked at Mia for a moment. "Ride or die. I call it baby." I told Dom.

"What Elena you can't do this job with them. What about Brian?" She asked me.

"Mia, I'm sorry. I need the money. I'll be fine. Just tell Brian I'm sorry and I love him." I told her as I stormed out of the trailer with Dom and the others.

I saw Brian for a moment then saw him going after Mia. I know he's gonna be pissed about this. But I followed Dom and the others to a shop to change cars. We were driving black tinted cars. Dom in one, I in one, Letty in one and Leon and Vince in one together. Just like before, kinda without Jesse.

After we got our cars, we raced down the highway to where we needed to be at. Once we go there I drove under the semi and cut him off to get him to slow down. Leon and Vince came in front of me and shot at the seat trouble the windows. Once Vince was hooked on he climbed out of their car jumped onto mine and climbed up to the semi but this guy was loaded. He shot at Vince knocking off the semi but he got ahold the door frame/mirror. The gun shot at me again and I served over to the right just in time.

"Elena, you good." Leon called out through the radio.

"The motherfucker shot at me." I said when I grabbed the radio.

"Elena move out of the way." Dom said. "Fall back a little."

I done what I was told. I slowed down and hung in the back with Letty. I looked at her and she done the same.

"Dom, I feel like he was expecting us." Letty said through the radio. "Done of these jobs do they ever have a gun."

"Well let this be the first." I said to myself.

After I said that I heard a shot then Vince scream. He got hit.

I grabbed the radio. "Vince got hit. Ima try and get him. Letty get in front and distract the driver." I ordered.

I shifted into gear to get some more speed and got next to Vince. I rolled my window down and brought my arm out.

"Vince, unhook yourself. And grab my arm." I yelled out to him.

Vince done what I said but couldn't do it. I was watching the driver at the same time I was looking where I was driving. Then I saw that the cord was wrapped around his arm.

"Elena I can't get free. My arm is stuck and the cord won't come off." Vince yelled.

"f**k!" I yelled as I hit my steering wheel. I grabbed the radio again. "Vince can't get free." I had said into the radio. "His arm is wrapped into the cord and," I said as I heard a shot, a yell, then a pop.

Then I was sent flying screaming into the radio until I let go of it while I was in the air flipping into the field next to the highway.

All I heard was people yelling my name.

"Elena?" It sound like Dom.

"Elena crashed." Letty said then she yelled.

"Both Elena and Letty down Dom." Leon yelled in the radio.

"f**k! Leon go get them. IMA try and get Vince." I heard Dom yell in the radio.

"Copy that." Leon said.

After that, I tried to get out of the car. But I couldn't. The door wouldn't open. But it wasn't helping that I was blacking out. Until I heard Leon yell my name.

"Elena, hold girl. I got you." He had said.

I yelled when he pulled me out through the window. My arm was busted. I think I had broke it. When he got me out of the car, he helped me into the front seat. Letty was in the back seat all bust up with cuts but I was worse.

"Elena," Letty said.

"Letty," I said back.

"Stay with me girls." Leon said. Then he grabbed the radio. "Dom, I got the girls."

After he said that I saw a fast orangish red car flying down the highway. It was Brian. Oh f**k what is he doing.

"Leon pick me up. He got my engine." Dom said through the radio.

"Gotcha boss." Leon said back.

Leon shifted gear and we were off to where Dom was. When we got to where he was he came to my side of the car. I was holding my arm and trying to stay away from the pain.

"Elena. Letty. You two okay?" He asked us.

Letty spoke before I did. "Just cut and busted up."

I just looked at him. I didn't know what to say. He touched my lips then leaned in and kissed me. He looked at Leon and jerked his head towards the back. Leon got out of the car and got into the back seat with Letty. Dom got in the front and drove down the highway to find Vincent and Brian. When we pulled up finding them on the side of the highway. Mia was with them.

Dom got out of the car and ran over to them. Brian looked behind him and saw me in the car busted up.

"You had my sister with you." Brian yelled at Dom.

"I'm sorry. She found out what we did and wanted to help."

"You should have told her no. Now look at her." I heard Brian yell as he pointed at me.

Then Mia spoke. "That doesn't matter right now. Vincent needs help."

As Brian was working on Vincent, I over heard him use his FBI codes into the phone. Dom stood up. Well this is gonna be bad.

About 10 minutes later a helicopter showed up and they picked up Vince and flew off. Dom looked at Brian then me for a moment then back at Brian.

"Dom," Brian called Dom's name.

Dom put his hand in Brian's face and walked away. When he got to the driver side he yelled for Mia.

"Mia, come now." He yelled.

Mia looked at Brian then ran over to Dom's side and got in the back. Then Dom got in the car and we drove off.

It was quiet for some time until he turned into the driveway and popped the curb. Both me and Letty moaned when he done that.

"Leon get the girls in the house." Dom said.

Leon nodded and helped Letty to the house as I leaned against the car, holding onto my arm, staring at Dom. He was walking towards his garage where his charger was. The one he built with his dad.

"Dom," I called out.

He stopped and looked at me for a moment then went back to what he was doing. As Dom started up the car, he drove it forward until Brian had pulled up blocking him in. He got out the car with his gun, freaking me out.

"What the hell Brian." I said.

"Elena get in the car." Brian said.

"No, I ain't going anywhere with you like that." I said.

Dom got out of the car with his shotgun in his hands.

"Move the car Brian." Dom told him.

"Put the gun down Dom." Brian ordered him. "Your not going anywhere."

"I got to go find Jesse. Johnny is probably out looking for him as we speak." Dom said as Mia came out of the house.

"Dom stop, do what he says." Mia told Dom.

Then out of no where, here came Jesse. Freaking out.

"Dom I've messed up man. Messed up big time."

"Jesse where have you been man?" Dom asked him.

"I don't know man. I thought I have Johnny."

While Jesse was freaking out, I heard motorcycle's flying pass shooting up the place. Dom ran to me pulling me down as Brian ran for cover. Mia ran in the house for cover but for Jesse. He got hit bad.

When it was done, they rode away. Mia screaming Jesse's name, running out of the house down the stairs to the street to Jesse. Dom looked at me.

"You okay?" He asked me.

"Still banged up but I'll live." I told him.

"Elena!?" Brian yelled as he came over to me and Dom.

"I'm fine. Go get that son if b***h Brian."

Brian nodded and ran to his car and went after the bikes. Dom looked at me.

"You knew?" He asked me.

I nodded.

"You knew and lied to me when I asked you what he did." He said to me.

"I wasn't even allowed to know Dom. I found out when he was on the found and I overheard him." Which was a lie.

"Whatever. Now, I have to go find Johnny for killing Jesse." Dom said as he got up.

"Dom, be careful." I said as I went to get up.

He looked at me for a moment. I looked into his eyes. They had a lot going on. Pain, hurt, pissed off, and love. Before he walked away like he thought he was, he pulled me close and kissed me.

"I love you, no matter what. Ride or die." He told me. "Whatever happens after this, I'll always find you and I will always love you." Dom told me after he squeezed my hand.

It was like he was telling me goodbye but for good though. Leon came out of the house grabbed me helped me into the house. Then went back out there for Mia. Once Mia was in, she had called the police. Leon stayed out there with Jesse.

Jesse was Leon's best friend. Hell more like brothers to be honest. They were never really apart. Until now.

After the EMTs took Jesse, Leon came into the house. I was still holding my arm, when he came to me.

"Hey let me fix that for you. Its just out of place." He told me. I nodded at him. "Mia help me with Elena. Hold her." Leon told Mia.

Mia came over to me and helped Leon. Leon counted to 3 and moved my shoulder back into place. I yelled for a moment but felt better.

"So buster was a cop. Vince was right all along. And you knew." Letty finally spoke from the corner.

"Look, I wasn't even supposed to know." I said.

"She's right. When Brian told me he was a cop, he told me he wasn't suppose to tell anyone." Mia said as she helped me sit back down on the couch.

"So now what? We're just gonna stay friends with them?" Letty said pissed off.

"Elena is Dom's girl. Brian is her brother." Leon said. "As long as Dom and Elena is together. We deal with the buster if you like it or not Letty." Mia added.

I looked at her and Leon for a moment while laying down on the couch.

About 3 hours later, Brian showed up alone. He walked in the house and looked right at me.

"Where's Dom?" Mia asked.

"I gave him my car after he crashed his car, to run off. To get away from the law. Just be lucky I'm letting him go. I should have turned him in. But for yours and my sisters sakes, I didn't." Brian said as he held out his hand for me.

"So what's that suppose to mean?" I asked.

"Elena, Dom said that he will always love you but for now just go on without him." Brian had said.

"What? No! No he can't do that. He said ride or die no matter what!" I yelled.

Mia grabbed my good arm. "Elena just do what you brother says please. If I know Dom and I do, he'll find a place to hide out until he can come out. Go with your brother, just stay safe please." She told us.

I closed my eyes for a second then opened them. I looked at all of them then nodded. I hugged Mia and Leon before walking out the house with Brian.

We drove to where I had left my car, so I can drive it to the house. We packed all of our s**t into both my car and his truck that we could take.

We were leaving our home for now, to go do what we do. We drove out of state to find a new life. A new world. A new place to call home.



What do y'all think of that ending. I started to cry a little when Elena had got hurt pretty badly just to help Vincent even though she didn't have to. But like you say family you stick with them no matter what.

What did y'all think about Dom letting go Elena? Even thought he loved her he still had to leave her to keep her safe.
