"He was gone a long time ago but he is still a headache to us!"
Her Majesty the Queen's anger was shown all over her face. Upon knowing that there is something that the late Crown Prince left behind that can damage her. She summoned some of her followers to the central government.
"Your Majesty, tell us what we can do now for you," the minister of Personnel asked.
"Naturally, we need to do something. My brother is working hard to get rid of that headache of us. That is why we will also move since they are asking for it!" Her Majesty said.
"Tell us, Your Majesty. What is your plan now?" the minister of war too.
"Before I'll answer your questions, I will ask you too. Did all the troops go to the borders? Who among our men are here in the capital?" Her Majesty the Queen asked as well.
"Some of my men are still here in the capital, Your Majesty. Some of them went to the border but I ordered them not to go all. Just in case I might need them. That is why I divided them into two groups," the minister of war explained at length.
Her Majesty the Queen didn't say a word for a few seconds. Now that they are on the edge of death, they need to prepare something that will contradict any situation.
"Take this letter and give it to all our men inside and out of the capital. But make sure to hand over each of the generals. Because if those letters fall into enemies' hands, we are all done." Few minutes of silence when Her Majesty the Queen spoke up.
"At your service, Your Majesty." The ministers stepped backwards a little before vowing.
GRAND PALACE
"Remember, Crown Prince, your time is limited. You need to find that evidence as soon as possible."
"Yes, Your Majesty. I will go personally with my royal guards tonight."
"It's good to hear that from you, Crown Prince. But you must not forget that as soon as you'll step out of the palace, I can't protect you anymore."
"I know that, Your Majesty. But I will not back down and submit to them. I will show that no matter how hard they try in pulling me down, I will not surrender, Your Majesty."
Upon hearing those words from his grandson, His Majesty smiled genuinely for the first time in a long time.
"That's how your father survived despite all the years of struggling, Yang. When I will die, hold on to your crown no matter what happens. Because if it's not, you will end up like your father."
"Yes, Your Majesty. But don't talk about dying. Because I still need to learn a lot from you. I need your guidance, Your Majesty.
"My earthly life is coming near to the end, Yang. That is why I'm telling you to move faster in bringing back the evidence that will pull down your enemies."
He is the king but he is still a man. Indeed that he did his duty as a king but as a father, he killed his son by his hands. Even if e will regret it, it's already done.
"Your Majesty..."
His Highness Yang bid his goodbye to his grandfather the king. Because he needs to have a meeting with his royal guards.
'Gods in heavens, watch over me in taking my steps in finding who is the murderer of my late father who was dead inside the cage.'
He said silently as he go back to the royal guards' ground.
OUTSIDE the palace.
"Are you going out again, Yeon?"
"Yes, Doyeong. His Highness will go out in disguise tonight and we will guard him."
"Where are you going with His Highness, Yeon? Everyone in the bureau is whispering about His Majesty's health. It is related to where you are going?"
"I don't know what you want to say about His Majesty's health, Doyeong. Because we are all busy guarding our prince. But don't worry, I'll come back to tell you the details."
That's it!
She waited until Yeon was out of her sight before she go back inside.
A FEW moments later...
"I know it. I still remember when we were all here. Many years have passed, even though there's water on this side already," His Highness muttered as he spread his eyesight.
"Men, all of us need to be careful. If one of us can see the tree rock, we can use the fireworks to alert everyone. Here, each of us has a map as well," His Highness said while he distributed all the sketches.
"Your Highness, I will accompany you," Yeon says.
"No, Yeon. Since that I am the one who knows this place very well, just let two men stay. Each of you will ga o differently. But make sure that you will come back here," he says once more.
"Yes, Your Highness." He vowed his head and lead a few of their co-worker to help His Highness in finding very important information.
FEW MINUTES LATER
"I know it. I'm sure that this is the place. In between two white rocks, there is a tree rock."
"Let's spread out as well. Since that we are in the right place, we should move easily."
Few words coming from the Crown Prince.
"Yes, Your Highness."
They answered and continue searching.
"This is it! It's the tree rock!"
His Highness immediately crossed the distance where he is standing and the rock but it looks like a tree because of the design.
"Finally! I found you. But what did my father hide here that I can use as evidence against those who killed him? Does it means that His Majesty is sincere in what he is saying this afternoon?" he mumbled.
As he got closer to the tree rock, he tried every single way to move the rock but no matter what he does, he just can't.
But!
'What is that?' he asked himself.
Because on the ground, he felt something that is why he bends and started to take out of the sands. Until he found a rectangular wooden box. He immediately opened it was four layers of small boxes. The fifth is already a roll of papers stored in a small bamboo.
"Father! You hide evidence here to rectify all the wrongs in our government."
"Will you help me to---"
But he was not able to finish what he was trying to say because his three men are pointing their swords at him.
"What's the meaning of this, men?"
"We are just doing the right thing to do, Your Highness. Hand over to us that box and we'll let you go unharmed."
But instead of giving up the evidence, he hold it tightly and started to move to a safer place.
"Your Highness, we don't want to hurt you that's why give us that wooden box. Don't let us lay our swords with you," one of the three said.
"So, you three are the mole in my royal guards. Do you want this box with you? Come and take it from me," he answered firmly.
He doesn't have a plan to surrender the wooden box that his father left behind.
Will those royal guards let His Highness get away from them?
Can His Highness protect himself and the evidence from that evil?
