Act 13 : Beast-Killing Machine

~crash~ “Wo-hooo!” No scent of Caedes so far. Their Stang GP goes past the hollow projection that the bearded man had deployed two hours before. Human entrails were scattered around the once-junkyard site without its fellow remains intact. The bear-fish hybrid was having a wild-ride party outside the hidden tunnel. Marks of excavation ruins the concrete rubbles that were fallen by its appearance to the world. At the far-depth of its claw spots, puddles of blood have been completely dried out by the soil down beneath. “If we haven’t drill the tunnel, back then, we’re a dead meat by now.” John Straverman muttered. He manned the steering wheel alongside Shanice Gilmore that took the shotgun seat for means of surveillance. Her reaction is agile and refined against the known or unidentified menace up front. It is a whole lot better than her own brother, which have three seconds slower rate of fire once provoked. ~vroom~ “Look at that trails of blood.” Shanice draws a forefinger towards the long-haul straight line of red that smeared up the road,”We shouldn’t follow the track. It could be a trap set off by that beast’s intelligence. Who knows?” said the curly-haired woman against such fear-mongering sight to behold. The leader kept her composure before the reckless driving on the street. John Straverman, after all, has had an intriguing interest over the gas-fueled engine since its introduction. He urged to challenge the striving machine for the long-lost function it has retained all years straight. In its manual-based engine, no artificial intelligence to interact against mistakes and 24 hours wireless maintenance for the supporting software on the dashboard. Being comfortable with every sort of assistance provided onto the run-of-the-mill car design, John Straverman feels a little heavy-handed against the novel experience the current ride has shown so far. Stang GP was renowned for its brutish nature and violent transmission. When someone pushes the gas pedal too deep, its boisterous discharge would launch the forefront upwards despite four-wheel drive that the automobile has utilised. “Watch out!” ~bang~ Another barrel flies past the front window after their imminent crash. They deemed themselves fortunate that the drum was out of water this time around. No wonder, the outstanding damage occurred should be extraordinary towards its passengers within if it was brimming with liquid,”Don’t be too harsh, honey.” Elisa patted her husband on the cheek to comfort him from the back seat. Gads Gilmore added,” Yeah, unless if a beast chasing us, then you’ll have to be crazy. I don’t care if you’re killed us all that way.” “Enough with speaking nonsense, Gads. We’re already lucky to have him on board.” Shanice denied. He maintained the speed below 40 kilometers/hour due to many car wreckage on the road. The main street of Neatol has been tainted with human blood in more intense concentration than ever before. Caedes feeds onto hundreds of people all over the place. Dismembered remains were piling up on the pedestrian walkways. Many heads got separated from its body and were thrown away in random areas of the street,”I hate the smell so much! Can you stop a bit, Mr. Driver? I want to puke.” Complained Natasha Gastano on the rearmost seat of the car. “Can’t help it, Natasha. I have to push the gas no matter what happened.” Replied John Straverman shortly after,”You can release that itty-bitty of yours inside the plastic somewhere.” Baffled, the auburn haired woman stares towards the front seat in slightly-tilted motion,”We’ve never used any plastic, remember? Nobody has ever produced it since 2025.” She reminded him of the sustainable regulations that New Pangaea have had enacted in the past. The Government will issue a hefty amount of fine if a business entity dared themselves to manufacture polymer-based plastic bags and amassed them for their benefit. “How’s our little noisy boy going, Gads?” Shanice turned herself sideways for looking upon her brother across the middle seat. Gads Gilmore was seemingly reluctant to response against repeated queries of his sister. Against her notions, the bearded man ignores them for minutes after, brought the curly-haired woman to furrow her eyebrows in anger,” Hey, nerd! You’re so full of yourself that a sister’s question meant nothing important to you?” she rattled. Same as ever be, their fellow technician has been engaged before the flat screen for monitoring their route in constant manner. The red line on his drone-powered surveillance system has notified them of any possible opponent likelihoods that they have to appease. It transfers the full overview of the road into the goggles that the driver himself has equipped. Then, Gads Gilmore casually draws a finger forward,”It’s like that, sis. Free and out of enemies for some time.” He spoke casually amidst her wrath,” Don’t forget to turn a little bit right, John. There’s a blockade up front.” “Roger that.” Road to Brathe encompassed its fame as a region for law enforcers of the city. Blue-tinted police car eventually shown itself up in numerous occasion across the street. Their sirens have been broken down by the sudden electricity reactor stoppage that occurred on d-day murder convention. One of them could be seen on pursue behind a sports car in the gruesome car crash scenery. Its woeful officer was leaning lifeless before the steering wheel, died in an instant by heavy-blood hemorrhage on his forehead. “We’re still three-dozens kilometers away from Brathe, so don’t expect we’re close.” John Straverman told his passengers straight away. His sluggish driving has taken most of their time spent for approaching the Police Headquarters. Despite the car’s capabiity, the static gridlock caused by the other automobiles has brought them an appalling misfortune to revel against,”Hey, I guess we can try to walk on this road. Look at that roadblock!” the black-haired man notified,”As long as Caedes-“ ‘Graaaaa!’ A loud and deafening scream brusquely appeared on the eastern side. A headstrong creature has maimed three officers in a brawl that occurred over a kilometer distance to their vehicle,”How? My heat detector signalled of no beast around three clicks away.” Gads Gilmore perceived onto his own device in disbelief. For their first encounter three hours earlier, the creature they have met emitted a clear heat signature for constant supervision. Gads has mapped them a number of times to capture regular change over its temperature. But then, the current ones had none of them to supervise. John Straverman had no other choice but to look upon the cramped-up highway and muster his own bravery straight upon,” Brace yourself, guys. I might need to try the front bumper durability, now.” He said in utter confidence envisaged in his words. On the other way around, Shanice prepared her own weaponry to resist Caedes’ possible advance. Gads also equipped heavier armament than the shotgun at the present. He assembles pieces of an assault rifle for the barrage that the bearded man required for their defensive chant,”I guess it’s time to unleash my secret weapon, sister.” Gads gazed upon his sister, which then affirmed his decision by putting a nod up front. “Yes, it’s now or never, Gads.” Shanice replied,”Push the gas, now!” ~vroom~ The car’s front raises up high by the full-speed boost that John Straverman used to escape. He pressed the pedal straight down for yielding extensive acceleration into the engine. Without further ado, the Stang GP bashes its front against the row of abandoned vehicles and bumped them aside as their ride come across,” Woohooo! My life’s flashing before my eyes!” screamed the driver in jubilation. Carefully picking sides to roam past, John Straverman chose to smash the petite back than to deal with the foremost physique of a car. It has smaller composure, indeed, so that their collision will create lesser impact to the burly-sized dimension of their ride and make their life goes longer on the road. “Incoming!” ~drap-drap-drap~ Caedes galloped onto the highway once detected a blistering pace of their getaway car. It was leaping over the residential houses for reaching the asphalt-covered lane straight away,”Shoot it! Watch your way, John. I’m gonna get myself out a little.” the leader laid her command before getting her upper body to come out across the front-side window,”Die, you bastard!” ~ra-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta~ Her bullets parade has been started. Shanice flares the pellets out from her small-sized machine gun for dealing with the chasing creature behind them. Gads Gilmore took the time spared by the leader to lock his weapon intact,”Okay, sister. Get in!” the bearded man instructed. “Graaaaaa!” Gads Gilmore blasted his assault rifle towards the beast after his sister rolling back inside. For every rounds delivered to Caedes’ head, the bullets created an explosion once getting in contact with its impervious skull,”Die you, die!” Hailed the bearded man upon his barrage to the naked presence of such creature across the back. “Hit the car, block-head!” Shanice deftly yelled towards her brother after perceiving his unsuccessful attempt against the beast inbound. The creature bearing no wounds despite incendiary feature added into each bullet. Otherwise, their chased-down position makes no vantage point to harrass the vulnerable part in the middle area of its torso, so they have no idea over its effect anyway,” Use the nuclear ones, grandpa!” shouted the curly-haired woman in following to his first reload. “A nuclear bullet? That’s dangerous!” stated Elisa whilst facing the hectic schedule on the other side of her seat,”Mind if-“ ~tack~ Green-colored in contour, Gads Gilmore armed a different magazine than the familiar ones for an M4A1 assault rifle in his arms. It has bigger proportions than the common cartridge that a weapon user used in everyday life, ”I’ll teach you about it later, Elisa. I’m gonna do the trial firsthand.” He waved a palm to her face, then going out for the second. “Die!” ~bam-bam-bam~ “Graaa!” It unloads a larger outbursts than the previous projectiles could affect. The creature now got inflicted by the hazardous explosions that his bullets has produced. A small dent of c***k appeared on various spots on its sturdy exterior, thus the beast letting them away and make a stoppage for awhile,” You did it, Gads!” Shanice could no longer contain her happiness. He emptied the nuclear shots before returning back inside, discharged them away to Caedes’ position in immediate fashion afterwards. ~swosh~ The bearded man propels the empty nuclear cartridge away from their reach,”That’s the last one I can make. Hopefully our future visit to Lipton will do a bunch to our group.” He said in gleaming eyes towards the well-customised assault rifle on his left hand,”And yes, my experiment has been completed, sister. We can manufacture them for ourselves later on.” Shanice embraced her brother in that instant,”Yes, We’ll spend a night at Lipton for those uranium deposit. We’ll make a horde of Caedes suffer against us.” She gruntled. For some reason, however, the black-haired man was serene and quiet before the mighty gunshots that his fellow survivor has used. A geek personality who will make a stop once getting a good look onto something delicate, He was once responded to the refined technology in utmost awe,” You’re alright, huh? I’m wonderin’ why you’re so passive against the nuclear blast from your friend somehow.” Shanice teased the black-haired man along the way. Against her impending mockery, John Straverman laid a shrug in return,”If I’m not concentrated myself to the road, I will devour that nuclear bullet to prove it’s a real one.” He muttered with twisted smile adorned to the face,” We don’t know if it’s truly dead, too. I can’t rest until we found them lying on its own tails.” ~crash~ Another cars collided against the front bumper of their Stang GP. Due to the fortified spearhead of their ride, they have no worrisome feelings ahead of the trunk. The main street has now congested with more abandoned steels on the road. Red marks upon John Straverman’s goggles were bleeping before the huge wall constructions to mention of its relation with Brathe, ” Oh, so that’s the infamous territory that I have heard so much lately. It too safe to be called a part of the city, I think.” Commented the black-haired man against the view. “Don’t be fooled with its appearance, Mr. Driver. It has the highest crime rate than the other sub-city of Axeport this year.” Mentioned Natasha Gastano over the barrier’s elevated scale of heights. Her eyes roam across the 20 meters tall bastion, only to shake her head against,” You see, being the community filled with secrets doesn’t mean it will always be safe and sound. I’m your advocate for that.” She muttered. ~crumble-crumble~ “What in the world...” Gads Gilmore finally picked up the heat signature that he was recorded across the southwestern area of the wall. It is the same Caedes with the one they have been encountered at the junkyard. However, the beast now has halfway smaller size than the former beast that was fallen in front of them in the past, supplemented with another beast that climbed the wall with identical form and composure to the one on its right.
