3. She met a vampire

2778 Words
DECLAN She was a reckless driver. I couldn't imagine being in the car with her. She made turns without slowing down, accelerated quite unnecessarily, especially being that she was moving through narrow streets. Though there wasn't any other car on the road, I was confident many drivers would have manned the vessel like the land vehicle it was. . .and not a spaceship. Nothing about little Miss Witch was regular. She had some balls, I would give her that. I couldn't bring myself to understand why she was here….in the vampire territory! It didn't make sense. Unless she looked forward to a very slow and painful exit. I was able to keep up with her not only because I was a vampire, but the very fastest vampire alive. No one has succeeded in wrapping their head around it, no one could understand why I was five times faster than vampires hundreds of years older than I was. Unlike humans, vampires got stronger and faster as they grew older, so a vampire who was a hundred years old could easily beat a twenty year old vampire or even ones much older. What other vampires—as well as myself—could not comprehend was why I, a twenty-seven year old vampire, was way faster than Landon, who was the oldest vampire alive, being six hundred and ninety one years old, though he looked only a little older than me. While I couldn't dream of fighting Landon, I was way faster than him and that made no sense. The car made a loud sputtering sound as it came to an abrupt stop. I watched her from afar as she walked out in frustration. She angrily popped the car's hood and jerked back as the heat of the engine drove her away. She screamed the f-word so loudly and continuously that I had begun to wonder if she was crazy. I mean if she was too crazy. . .that she was crazy was already established. What normal person would walk into the vampire's territory alone? She had to be cuckoo as hell. She went back to the engine and stared blankly at everything there, it was apparent she had no idea what was wrong. Well, I knew. It was the fuel. The fuel in the car was very little before she took it and now it was exhausted. She yelled a thunderous “No!”. Yelling? That's exactly what you shouldn't be doing, I thought to myself. If she knew what was good for her, she would be quiet and get the f*ck out of the road. Vampires don't have heightened senses like werewolves, but she was better off meeting a whole pack of wolves than getting anywhere near a vampire. The difference between meeting a werewolf and crossing paths with a vampire was that the former could kill you. . .but the latter WOULD kill you. There was no doubt about that. As I stood, watching little Miss Witch from afar, old memories rushed into my mind. They were all about my mother. She had been a beauty, inside and out. While I was only thirteen when I lost her, she had been one who had the heart of everyone. Though my father had died three days before I was born, she had raised me with so much love that I never felt the void of a father in my life. She filled it all and more. Ever since, I had lived with my Aunt who was bonkers. It wasn't easy at all grieving my mother demise. She had been the one thing I had. She had been more than just my only family, she had been my only source of happiness. She had been my smile, my life, my joy, my future, my everything. When she was cruelly taken from me, life ceased to have any purpose. From that point, I had gone through each day with a nonchalant attitude. To this day, I still did. It had been fourteen years, but the pain she left in my heart was still fresh. The terror, while accustomed, was painful nonetheless. What made it even worse for my little self then wasn't just watching my mother get mol*sted by a demon and then killed, but knowing that it all happened because she was trying to protect me. No, because she was protecting me. All because some demons thought I was ‘The One'. Whatever that meant. I remember how my mother had rubbed certain herbs on my face and had me hide in a secret compartment that I still wonder till this day how I managed to fit in. It took me years before I knew the herb my Mum had rubbed on me was done so the demon wouldn't sensey presence. Kicking my sad memories behind me, I continued watching little ‘Miss Witch’. She was sitting on the ground, her legs curled in the usual way people did whenever they meditated. She had her hands placed together like she was praying and eyes close shut. Hell, she wasn't praying. She slowly began to levitate and I was indeed marvelled by this as I had heard about how powerful witches were but never seen it myself. Well, here I was watching her as she hung six feet in the air, spiralling slowly as she chanted some words that I began to wonder how the hell she had managed to learn. I hid more carefully, trying to stay behind a brick wall that begged to be leaned on so it could collapse. If she opened her eyes and looked carefully, due to her altitude, I would be seen. As much as I enjoyed watching her, I would prefer to never be seen by her. She was a witch, I was a vampire, there was no way our meeting would be like Prince Charming and Cinderella's. It could go in only two ways; I kíll her or. . .I kíll her. It would be a shame to spill her blood. I preferred her alive even if I would see her from afar and for a short time. Just then, Arcedius came. He smiled as she was hung up in the air. He licked his lip, very happy that he would have a human's blood for the first in a very long time. “What the f*ck are you doing?" Arcedius asked. Hearing his voice, the witch lost concentration and fell to the ground. Her head got bruised real bad. “I always knew this cursed earth still has me in mind." “What do you mean?" The scared witch asked in fear. I continued watching from afar, absolutely indecisive. Watching from afar seemed more comfortable, I guessed. “What do I mean? Hmm, if the planet doesn't have me in mind, why is a meal here for me? Thank whatever deserves to be thanked that you didn't appear somewhere I would have you shared." Realising what Arcedius meant, her pretty face showed only one thing. . .terror! She began to run but then stopped. “Smart decision, it is really stupid to run from a vampire, to me, your top speed is like a baby crawling.” She brought out a ball of flame from her hands and flung it at Arcedius. This witch was all about action. The ball grew in size as it shot at its targer. Arcedius yelled maniacally as the fire caught his whole face. But then very few moments later, the fire had no trace on his face. No burn mark. Nothing! It had all healed. Perks of being a vampire. “You are very stupid, you know that, right? I wanted to chat with you for a while, possibly let my d*ck makes its way into a weak vessel like yourself, but now you have annoyed me, the pigs I usually have as meal seem to be wiser than you." He moved to her quickly, held her firmly, and then licked her face. He was savouring every moment. Taking everything slowly. She was nothing but a good meal to him and she had seen that. I could see that she had. Well, let's say the witch wasn't going down easily. She widened her palm and brought it before her, sending Arcedius twenty feet away from her. “Oh, you are strong, I agree." Arcedius teased. “If you call that strong, don't scurry away and I assure you, you will know what strong truly entails.” Arcedius giggled quite oddly. “You don't get it, do you? There's no way you are leaving as anything besides a dry cold body. . .don't worry, I don't eat flesh, it is that red boiling juice I'm concerned with." I was confused. I didn't know what to do exactly. Arcedius was sixty years older. He, definitely, was physically stronger. Everything in me wanted to go to the young lady's rescue, but then, why? Besides all the dangers that would come with it, there wasn't any reason I should even think of saving her. She was nothing to me, in anything, she was a thief. She stole my damn car. But then, she was so stunningly good-looking. If anything, I should be by Arcedius's side, teasing the witch with him and then feasting together. He was a fellow vampire, while he was a total douchebag, he was my ‘kin' nonetheless. One thing Landon would never tolerate was vampires killing each other. There could be violent fights, but never killings. No vampire would like to get on the bad side of Landon. “You know what? I forgive your attitude, I will not allow your ill-mannered nature prevent me from enjoying you.” Arcedius stated, holding his crotch slowing and moaning. It was clear that Arcedius wanted to have a little more fun than usual with his meal. It wasn't every day he saw a beautiful girl whom he was going to suck dry after having ‘fun' with her. “Don't even think about it, I assure you, you don't want to try this.” “Really? Darling, there's nothing I want more.” The witch brought out balls of fire from both of her hands. . .now the flames were way bigger. “Sometimes, other beings forget that vampires are, more or less, gods." He stared into her eyes and she began shaking. “I could make you undress me and suck me off. . .wait, not could, cause it is gonna happen right now." I knew what he was doing; it was called external compulsion. It was simply one of the gifts of vampires that allowed them to control other beings and also weaker vampires. . .at will. Once a vampire used the gift, he could make his victim do whatever he wanted. Now, Arcedius wanted the witch to be calm as he planned to have s*x with her. Immediately, the fire balls on both her hands went out “What are you doing?” She screamed, terrified and all shaky. “What I am doing isn't important right now, what is of essence is what we will do right now." He smiled and pulled his trousers down, his erected p*nis almost showing from his underpants. “Come suck me off!" That was really weird to hear. Tears pouring down her face, she couldn't help herself as she walked towards Arcedius. I could see how helpless she felt, at this point she couldn't take her own life even if she wanted to. She was completely under the influence of the hungry and horny Arcedius. F*ck the rules, I couldn't sit on my hands and watch this happen. “Leave her be, you sadistic pervert.” I said, running in between the witch and Arcedius. “If you really want to get laid, there are vamp ladies that would stoop to your level, or a guy who would bend over.” “Just when I thought today was perfect, a moron comes with loads of bullsh*t.” “Bullsh*t? Let's say I believe there are things that are too low, even for us." The witch was getting a little calmer and had regained control of herself because Arcedius had lost concentration. She stole a glance at me and then continued looking at the very much infuriated Arcedius. Arcedius lazily pulled his trousers to his waist and frowned firmly. “Do you think you can match me in a fight?” “I don't cause I have no intention of fighting you." I replied “If that be the case, run along and I might forgive your stupidity.“ I shook my head. “I'm not the stupid one here." Arcedius smiled, but hell, he wasn't smiling. “Do you really want to play this game with me?" He drew close, walking very slowly and biting onto his lower lip. “Declan, this is your last chance.” I stood where I was, as though his words meant nothing. “Your call then, just know that while vampires can heal super fast, we can't grow things out, if you know what I'm getting at." He ran to me at full speed, if not for my super fast reflexes, I wouldn't have seen the pocket knife he flung at me. I ducked, and then sprung up to hit him. Due to my impressive speed, I got him seven times on the face before he could react. When he move, he clutched his face as he was bleeding. I immediately pulled the boot hood off the car, and then smashed it on his head. Four times. He fainted. I have never really fought older vampires due to fear, I guess my speed was a lot more important than I thought. I moved towards her. “Are you alright?” “Stay the f*ck away from me!" “You are welcome, huh.” Jeez, this girl was really rude! “Okay, you have to trust me, we need to…." “....trust you? That will never happen, not today, not tomorrow, not ever!” Was this chick high on weed or something? How the f*ck was she not able to f*cking see that I was trying to help her? “Look, I'm a vampire, so I understand why you are hesitant to trust me. . . .” “. . . . hesitant isn't exactly the word I will use.” “Can you shut the hell up? How dumb are you? I'm trying to help you, just get on my back so I can take you somewhere safe." “Get on your back? Thanks, I will take my chances on my feet." The witch said, bringing fire balls from her hands. “Wait. . .do you have a problem with your sight? Or your brain? I just saved you from getting r*ped and killed, and you are still acting this way?” She narrowed her stare at me. “Do you think I'm five? Cut the crap, you honestly think I'm going to believe you have my interest in mind when you don't even know me!” This girl was more stubborn than a goat suffering from ASPD. Wait, do goats have ASPD? I took a deep breath and wondered how I could convince her. I had to move her from where we currently were before anyone else sees her, and I had to do that quickly because Arcedius could wake up at any time. Hell, this girl wasn't making it easy for me. I would never understand women even if I lived ten thousand years. The cuter they are, the cuckoo-ier. In my softest voice, I said, “There's no reason for you to believe me but you have to.” She threw a ball of fire at me but I dodged it swiftly. She said, “If I have learnt one thing in the twenty-three years I have lived, it is knowing not to do something when there is literally no reason to do it.” “But you just saw me fighting for you, what do you think that was? Drama?” She gave me a nonchalant stare. “Nah, it was more like what wild animals do when they see a prey.” She threw her hands up. “You want me to ‘suck you off’ too, right?” I ran to her before she could move her lips to say a word, and then knocked her unconscious. I had decided to save this witch, I won't let her bad attitude allow me to leave her to die a horrible death.
